A music video made entirely from wood for a song by bedtimes.xxx/music, WoodSwimmer is based on a concept I developed while designing a new stop-motion universe…
This is just mesmerizing and awesome.

ARC is having an exhibition in Berlin, "Anything but Chardonnay" tomorrow night (Thursday 28/5), at Loriza- Mainzer strasse 18, 12053 Berlin. Come around!
After some weeks in the dark fotolab I resurfaced only to find that the director Malik Bendjelloul had passed away. His next film which might have been about telephatic elephants, the moon or a zoo is something I would really have loved to see.. The swedish program "Kobra" did a fine show to honour him that you can watch here even if you live abroad, and in the radio they re- broadcasted his "summer program".
There's an old program with Tove Jansson reading from her book "Bildhuggarens dotter" in the swedish radio at the moment, here. If you don't understand swedish I think you should just listen to her wonderful voice anyway. Beautiful!

If I was in London I would go and listen to this for sure:
27 January 2014
Mad, Bad and Sad
Jacqueline Rose, Sally Alexander and Lisa Appignanesi in conversation- To conclude the 'Mad, Bad and Sad: Women and the Mind Doctors' season, Prof Jacqueline Rose, Prof Sally Alexander and Dr Lisa Appignanesi explore the complex history of hysteria and psychoanalysis in its relationship to women."
If you don't know what to do over the weekend you could watch Lotte Reiniger's animation film from 1926, "Die Abenteuer des prinzen Achmed", (The adventures of Prince Achmed)
Here is a small list of exhibitions I want to see this year. Maybe you do too:
Hannah Höch / Whitechapel

Vikings: Life and Legend / The British Museum
Hockney: Printmaker / Dulwich Picture Gallery
