I’ve held it together for most of 2020, now I’m officially broken. I’m not okay. ⁣ ⁣ I’ve tried to figure out what to say since I read that that RBG passed away, but I didn’t think I actually would have the correct words to honor her...⁣ ⁣ Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a woman that I’ve admired my entire life. I can’t remember not knowing who she was, but I know there must have been a time. I just know that when I discovered her, I was fascinated with her and everything that she stood for. I loved following her career and everything she fought so fervently for in this country. ⁣ ⁣ I never wanted be involved in the law or the government, but I wanted to be a fair and a good person like her. I hoped to be. I strive to be like her and I’ll continue to for the rest of my life. I never want to stop learning to be a better human, treating people kindly, and fighting for equally. ⁣ ⁣ Tonight, I mourn. Tomorrow, I go back to the fighting just like Ruth did. Caissie Levy’s last “Let It Go” from Frozen the Musical, 2/16/20. She optioned up to the high heavens and it was otherworldly. Enjoy my structured breathing and sobbing at the end. 😂 The whole night was absolutely incredible - I’m so thankful I was there to witness it.
