Another event starter call. Anyone interested may like this for a Counterinsurgency Part II starter with the dragoness. Uncapped.
@divxnedragon
A lull in the fighting has her quietly sitting down to rest, as for a few moments it seems like the monster has gone comatose. No doubt in time it will return to activity, and come to wreck havoc once more, but for now, it appears they both need a break.
Motion out of the corner of her eye catches her attention, and she watches as a child stumbles past, out of the ruins that used to be buildings. Quietly, she offers the bottle of water sheâd been drinking from, with a single questioning eyebrow.
@rxndheaven
She stands in the middle of a storm of blades, untouched. She has eyes only for the battle, and fight she does, though she never so much as moves a single inch. For hours upon hours the dragoness pits the strength of her body and strength of her magic, now fully restored to her, against that of the drone swarms that spew forth from the monsterâs belly. Standing in the middle of the street, Kazuko glows with a faint blue aura as gale force winds whip around her to tear her foes apart with ease. And yet, they keep coming.
A single glance is spared to the man who approaches, but her attention is soon returned to the behemoth that towers over them both. Still, she greets him, in her usual, detached way, though her gaze remains fixed on their opponent.
âRyoma. I trust you are unharmed.â

ââŠwhy the red suit?â
âItâs flashy, it looks cool. And, uh⊠it doesnât get bloodstained easilyâŠâ
â...I see. I suppose that would be a consideration in your line of work. And while I can not fault the motif and design... has the thought not occurred to you that a darker shade might serve your needs? Youâre rather... noticeable.â
A tiny smile formed on her face for a moment when the other accepted her arm. She scanned the area to find the bench that the other was speaking of, and she found it! It wasnât that far from their current location so she started to move slowly. The smile would fade upon listening to the words that she had spoken.Â
âYouâre injured⊠I..Is there a reason people would want to hurt you?â Sure, Hanayo didnât know anything about the girl, she could be affiliated with one of those dark organizations for all she knows. Hanayo just felt bad leaving someone here defenseless..
âB..But being alone would make it worse..â She isnât strong, she knows that. There are many more people within the city with amazing powers that are strong. She isnât one of them though, sheâs an idol. If there was a way to transform her abilities of an idol into powers then sheâd be stronger!
â...Thereâs a thin line between optimism and delusion. Right now, I would say you tread that line very finely.â
Finally managing to sit down properly, Kazuko gingerly rested herself upon the bench, hissing slightly at the pain that shot up her leg. Her regeneration factor was working overtime to fix the wound that stretched from ankle to midway up her knee, but it was nowhere near itâs full strength, and so she was forced to hobble like an old woman.Â
âHumans have always exhibited an extraordinary ability to discriminate against others. For skin colour, living conditions, or even beliefs. I am not human - and while it is a fact I do not hide, it is also one I do not advertise. With the recent conflict caused by the White Fang in the city, I consider it highly likely that I would be targeted by any... misguided human zealots. Theyâve taken to hurting those offering aid to non-humans too, so you would likely be the target of their ire as well, were they to see you with me. And make no mistake - after the riot yesterday, theyâll be prowling the streets.â
         â. â AmmoniaâŠ.? â
     Well that was certainly something she had never heard of before. â Iâm sorryâŠbut I donât know what â ammonia â is. What exactly is it? â
âOh. Itâs a kind of chemical. Comes in both solid and liquid forms. Not dissimilar to raw salt in itâs solid state. Often used in bleach and other household cleaning solutions, but I require the raw form of the material. Less work involved.â
Also used in several explosive compounds, but the girl didnât need to know that.
@metabolinisms
âExcuse me.â
âI am looking for a blacksmith that sells iron sand, located around this sector. Have you any idea where I might find it?â
Iron sand? Thereâs a struggle for an earthbender if he ever saw one. Just what approach would be taken? The bending for sand? For metal?! For both at once?! âOh! Uhâ thereâs a vendor like that? I havenât heard of himâ or anyone that doesnât sell cabbages. Hey, why donât I help you look around for him though?â He had to see this jigsaw puzzle for himself.
âThat would be much appreciated, thank you. The only directions I managed to get were that he was located in the north part of this sector, so perhaps we ought to start there.â
    âRight. Forgive me. The thought shall disappear from my mind.â He nodded. So that was the crux of the discrimination that laid rampant in this city. He possibly couldnât imagine the dread that hangs over those of non-humans. At that instance, his thoughts coursed of Corrin. If they were stripped of their weapons like himself and everyone before. Traversing the streets would prove dangerous.
    The mention of the demon child caught his attention. His brows creased at being that is running rampant causing destruction and harm to other humans. It would be foolish to contest against a monster without his own lightning blade to clash. Plus it was far from his time to die. There was much to be done. But, this demon is around in the city and there was no one that was able to fell this beast?
   âIâll be sure to steer clear from this⊠âlighting demonâ. This demon child has been causing harm to the citizens and no one has tried to oppose them?â If there were beings with otherworldly powers. Soon that beast would have contested with an equal wishing to put an end to its chaos.
âSome have. All have failed. Again, those of a more moral bent simply lack the power to protect the humans from this demon - by name of Zeno Bell, as I recall. Or if they do, they are more preoccupied with the White Fang.â
The dragoness paused, then elaborated, as she remembered the other would have no knowledge of the White Fang.
âThey are an organisation of non-humans who have kicked off the civil unrest, basically. Demanding the placement of non-humans over humans. Most of them were subject to lesser discrimination before, or so I would assume, so I can understand why they would do such a thing. That does not mean I agree, however.â
âIn any case, one thing you should know - in this city? Death is impermanent. You return within a few days after you perish, albeit weakened from the ordeal. That is why, I suspect, no one has yet challenged Zeno Bell. To do so is to constantly pit oneself against an opponent you can never truly vanquish, forced to fight each time you come into conflict. Quite understandable, then, that most simply adopt an attitude of not my business. It is what I would do. It is what I have done. Morality is for those who can afford it, after all.â
youâre welcome
