HOPE on the street (emphasis on HOPE)
I’ve seen people getting very excited about Taehyung going on Hope on the Street recently, and that’s fine, as a Vhope shipper, or just as a Taehyung bias fan (I am both of these things) that makes sense and it’s okay to be excited. Here’s when we have a problem;
Jung Hoseok is a very underappreciated member of this group. He’s had hateful tags trended before, been asked to leave, had horrible things sent to him, he gets less views than most of the other members, and less support all around. That being said he’s very proud of Hope on the street. Bless his heart he has stickers and badges up in his room, he always gives 110% energy on hope on the street. When he’s alone he has a 25-50% less views and excitement than he does when he has a guest star on the show.
When he does have a guest star they tend to draw all of the attention. Hoseok will never point this out, be rude or mean about this fact, I suspect he does genuinely love having them on his show, and I know that HE knows how popular they are, and that they will probably draw a lot of attention. He’s not stupid he knows there is a popularity gap.
Recently I heard that people were starting this VHOPE on the street thing, hoping to get people to change their icons to vhope on the street, and changing banners and idk, everything that comes with it.
Let me tell you how this is not a good idea. Maybe the intention is pure but please, don’t do this? Help Hope on the Street flourish because you’re proud of Jhope and what he loves. Don’t make this about his guest, make it about him. Show support for him. If tae is there you can show support too but please don’t take what Hoseok loves and is proud of for being something HE did and HE loves and make it about a ship? Can you imagine if you loved someone or something so much, and you poured all of your love and time into it, and people took it, renamed it, and made it about you and someone else? Even if they didn’t do so with ill intent, it would probably be hurtful. Now remember that Hoseok is not NEARLY as popular as he should be and it makes it 100x worse?
Please support Hope on the street. Support Hope on the Street because Jung Hoseok is someone who works as hard as he can always, to make fans feel better. He works as hard as he can to make sure the rest of his group can feel better. He endlessly loves, smiles, offers himself to the world, dances his ass off, always does everything he can as much as he can. Even when hes not noticed like the others are, he still tries so hard. He’s a man who’s prone to anxiety and insecurity and yet never let’s that get him down. He said once in a twitter update that his heart hurt because he couldn’t reach the level he wanted to with his dancing. That was posted very late at night, he was the only one in the room dancing. He works so hard for this group and to further himself, and is never really appreciated for all he’s worth.
Even at the beginning of the most recent EatJin he was the first one to support Jin & eatjin, reading the comments. He was the first one to notice all of the support for Jin and eatjin. Don’t make him think that he’s not important unless he has someone by his side. And don’t think he won’t notice, he always reads the comments when he’s on HOTS, he reads the comments and notices when people are paying attention to him vs everyone else. Even the last episode with jimin and taehyung guest staring the comments were a FLOOD of jimin looks nice and where is Taehyung…
I know that it’s important and if you love vhope this is a big thing for you, I am a vhope shipper, but i also love hoseok and this is not a good thing to do to hoseok….like????
Please support him and his show. Not Vhope, not any of the guests on his show–make it clear that you support him, equally at least.
