Butterflies have stood out to me for the past two years now. I’ve honestly adopted the creature as a representation of myself. One who endures a period of growth and pruning with hopes of blooming and spreading her wings.Â
Who am I?
I’m Ade. Twenty something. Creative. Techie. On-off writer and blogger. (We’re working on that this year) Pro-Cannabis. Pro-Black. Pro-Women.Â
All Black Lives Matter. Art matters. Expression matters.Â
I’m not sure exactly what I’m looking to accomplish in this Tumblr other than creating a haven for myself to turn to when everything else around me brings noise and chaos. I want this blog to be a space where I can share images I’ve captured of memorable life moments and just life in general.Â
Life is filled with experiences that test us and push us to see how we will respond. We only have one life, why not capture it? Why not make the most of it? Why not seize the day? These are the questions I must pose to myself constantly.Â
The year is currently 2020 and there’s a lot that I want to accomplish. It took me a while to realize that much of what I’ve been chasing after happened to be what others had marked as accomplishments. I’m tired of this. I’m tired of comparison. It’s time to truly be about bettering myself... for myself. No one else. This blog will be a place for me to return to writing, my voice, my creative nature. Something I’ve neglected for too long. Expressing myself through creative means has always been a therapeutic practice to me. Here’s to getting back.Â
Here’s to healing, hustling and seizingthade! Â
