Not what he expected. To send out a pokemon, only to want to talk. “I have not, but please, go ahead.” Honestly, an alternate universe sounded far more likely than someone attempting to impersonate someone with such incorrect information. Not to mention it piqued his interest.

And if he didn’t like what he heard, he could always burn him.

Ｍ – Defenses were high, a Pokemon beside him was his best bet if things didn’t go well. And that was not the answer he wanted to hear, nor the tone. He sighed and straightened himself up. Here went nothing.

    “It’s the theory that for every reality there’s another; that there’s multiple versions of you, me, whoever. It’s said there’s a legendary Pokemon that can hop through these realities. We, as humans can only comprehend what we know, but with everything gods can do, it’s not impossible.” Tabitha stopped with his stare still on the other, awaiting his response. “Do you follow?”

He releases his camerupt at this point, showing teeth. “Please, do go on. Your absurdities are giving me quite a laugh.” In reality, the man was doing nothing but steadily getting on his nerves. Perhaps an eruption would put him in his place.

Ｍ – Attention immediately drew to the large Pokemon facing him off. A hand went to a Pokeball, he could bring out his signature dog companions, but a flying type would be far more beneficial here. That in mind a Talonflame rose from the beam of red. A hand held up to signal for no attack and lowered as a motion to the other to, “wait.”      “I don’t want to get into something.” For once, “Hear me out first. This may seem off the wall if you haven’t, but have you heard of the Alternate Reality theory?”

And now he was getting on his nerves. What point did he think there was in continuing this game? “I’m talking about how you look nothing like my commander. And I’ve worn glasses nearly all my life. You should really do more research before attempting to impersonate someone.”

Ｍ – Alright there was no way this was a joke at this point. Maxie wouldn’t hold a charade as dull as this. “Alright sir, then tell me if I were impersonating myself then why would I ask a blatantly obvious question about something you apparently wear on a day to day basis --of which I have never seen you wear in my years of employment. You claim that I’m the impostor but you are not my leader. And that is not your uniform.”

And right from the start, he didn’t like this guy. Pretending to be his admin when he looked nothing like him? “Oh, of course you are. Tell me, how did you manage to lose so much weight overnight, Tabi?”

Ｍ – He blinked, “Weight?”Glimpsing down at himself he couldn’t recall a single moment he’d gone much over what he weighed currently, before quirking a bored stare at the other. “What’re you talking about? Since when do you wear glasses?”

The uniform was definitely reminiscent of his own team’s, and there was the familiar logo… but who was he? “Would you mind telling me who you are?”

Ｍ – There was no mistaking the similarities. It was definitely Maxie –except not. The Maxie he knew didn’t wear glasses, style his hair in that fashion, or would dare to sport… shorts? And was he shorter? The question, however, was the cherry on top. This wasn’t Maxie. Not the one he knew.

     With pride Tabitha held his head up stating, “I’m Tabitha, Team Magma’s second in command. Don’t you recognize me?“

the way Kara chirped a “That’s fine” was a good indication she felt she had won in some way. After all, it wasnt often she got her favored admin out of his office, let alone out of the base all together. Indeed, she seemed quite content as she led him out of the base. “Do you have a ride? Dante can take us both if you want. The place is a little bit too far away for walking, but Dante can get us there in a few minutes.” Any of the Team Magma pokemon who could be used as mounts -aside from the camperupt- could get to the place faster than thier humans could. She did remember hearing him say he wanted to not be long, after all.”

Ｍ – It wasn’t right leaving the base so early. Even if the day was coming to a close soon. Tabitha spared a look back from where he had came and faced Kara. “I do, but I’d prefer the latter.” His Pokemon needn’t be bothered by his mood, besides one Pokemon that size was plenty for two people.      It was still such a strike to his ego for someone to see him in one of his low moods. He, Team Magma Administrator Tabitha, had an image he had to keep up; calm, collect, focused, and proud. Not this. Hell, food didn’t even sound like anything special.      “Why are you so eager to take me anyway?”
