Let me begin by wishing everyone a Happy New Year filled with abundance.
Last week I shared how to invite abundance by appreciating it. Today we will learn to make use of the energy available to its highest potential.
Tip for the year: You have the powers to be in charge of your abundance!
An Architect is extremely sensitive about orienting the building according to the movement of the Sun through the day, to get right quality of light and right amount of heat to any Vaastu. As the Sun moves from east to west, north side of the building receives indirect light all through the day. The East side also receives soft light of the rising sun with ultra violet rays, responsible for producing vitamin D. Hence maximum openings, Windows, verandahs and balconies are provided on the north and east side of the building. The South side of a building receives very harsh light with infra red rays, which are harmful, so minimum or very small openings are given on the south side.
Step1: The distribution of energy in Vaastu Shastra is governed a lot by solar energy. As do many other factors like direction of planets, the earth's magnetic field and the like. But as Sun is the source of life on planet earth, we will look at understanding the distribution of solar energy in your Vaastu.
As the Sun moves from east to west, according to the position of the Sun, your Vaastu receives different types of energy. Hence there is nothing like good energy or bad energy, but the purpose of energy received from each direction is different. Choose the direction of your activities according to the purpose of the energy received, you align your Vaastu perfectly to get maximum benefits of the energy.
Just before rising the Sun is in the North East. The energy before any activity or movement begins is the purest or most potent energy. This is the energy of all possibilities. So placing your puja or meditation room or entrance in the north east direction aligns the activity with the energy. Energy of the rising Sun in the east is the young, fresh energy, perfect for bathing or activities related to children. Energy from the South east is the energy of fire and perfect for cooking. Food cooked in this direction becomes tasty and gets digested easily. Energy from the South direction is perfect for resting so bedrooms are preferred in South. Energy of the South west direction is inert and stable energy, perfect for the master of the house or wardrobes and dressing rooms. West has energy of the setting Sun which is perfect for relaxing and socialising. The North West direction has lot of movement; the energy is perfect for temporary activities like toilet or guest bedroom. North is the direction for hiding your treasures or wealth.
This is a guideline for good distribution of solar energy. For many of you it might not be possible to have this perfect distribution of energy in your existing Vaastu. But remember, you all have the powers to change your energy and in turn change your environment.
Step2: The human body is also designed with a mechanism for the right distribution of energy. Humans also have energy centres( chakras) along their spine to receive and give energy. But we have to learn to prepare ourselves to receive the natural energy available to us, through different breathing techniques or Kriyas and meditation. Start with watching your breath as mentioned in earlier articles and also start watching your thoughts as they are, by remaining completely detached with your thoughts. With this practice you will not only reduce the number of thoughts but also start finding the gap between two thoughts. Tap the energy from this gap. We have to learn to harness this energy, build a reservoir of energy by not wasting it on useless activities and then distribute this energy only on all purposeful things to achieve the right balance in life. With this attitude each one will be able to create abundance in all areas of life.
Knowledge of all our ancient shastras( science) or scriptures is a tool to sharpen our awareness for our growth and evolution of consciousness.
With the series of articles, I have made an attempt to change your approach towards your abundance. I wish that this knowledge and understanding leads to transformation and your years ahead filled with abundance. Conscious learning and conscious choices is the only way to transformation.
I conclude with lot of gratitude for my Masters.
