these are my mercury socks that i just finished yesterday!! i had never made socks before so i made a few mistakes but i love them to death

ive been doing a lot of stuff with yarn recently so i thought id share what ive finished. this is my klaziena shawl made with two cakes of scheepjes whirl in slice o’ cherry pie. its huge and goes down to the bottom of my calves. i LOVE IT and i found the pattern very intuitive after i got the first repeat done

just wanted to share this sensual photo of the cinnamon rolls i made today

just finished knitting this unicorn for my niece!! she calls them lunacorns, and dont you forget it. 

the pattern is “nilla the unicorn” on ravelry, and i used drops design cotton merino in lilac and powder to work it up. a great pattern and great yarn made for a super pleasant experience. 

now the best i can hope for is that bella will play with it at least once before its forgotten forever 😅 💕

my friend summer (summabis on twitter) asked me to make a miniature scene based on a poem by yujane chen (yujane_c on twitter) as a congratulatory gift for their fellowship at winter tangerine!! its the most complex project ive completed so far and im super proud of it!!! its in 1:24 scale and i made everything myself, including the pendant light and the display case.

heads up for anyone who does miniatures, i grabbed this ceramic cupcake stand from the dollar section at target and its amazing to sculpt on!!! the base makes a good handle so you can get up close for detail work and it can go right in the oven. i definitely recommend it

HOW DO U PAINF LIKE THAT

ITS REALLY EASY!!! you just mix acrylic paint with a pouring medium (i use floetrol) and a few drops of silicone (i use treadmill lube) and then pour all the colors you want into a cup, then you flip the cup over the canvas and it pretty much does the rest of the work by itself. try it sometime if you can!!!! or just search pour painting on youtube and watch other people do it, its mesmerizing

this method of painting is really calming because theres really nothing you can do once the paint decides where its going. the most fun is watching it happen but the finished product isnt half bad either
