It was early. Too early for most of the students to be awake, but Marlene was. Although she was never early to rise, she was in the habit of going a few days without sleep, only to crash eventually and miss class. Despite the bouts of self-induced insomnia, she was a Quidditch player and was expected to stay on top of her game. So at the crack of dawn, she found herself running laps around the pitch, stopping once in a while to throw in a cartwheel. Despite her tendency toward being a night owl, being outside this early had a certain charm to it and she finally dropped down in the grass, unfazed by the dew soaking through her clothing. “If you’ve just been standin’ there watching me, that’s a little creepy, y’know?” She yelled out, eyes still fixed on the yellowing sky and breath coming heavily. There was a figure on the edge of the pitch, she swore she saw it. “I’m not going to bite ya if you’re here to run or somethin’. But you could at least say hello.”
Selene knew the Slytherin practice schedule like the back of her hand, after all, her house team had some great eye candy and she was a fan of the sport. She got there early to sit nice and close in the stands when she saw the blonde running around. “Thought it would be best for both of us if I pretend this didn’t happen. You know the Slytherin team should be here in half an hour, right? I wouldn’t want to be the one keeping them from getting practice started if I were you.”
