So⊠this is definitely not true. His âtherapyâ is aluminum silicate (itâs in porcelain) and magnesium silicate (talc, which is used in baby powder). Drugs.com lists talc as a pharmacologically inactive substance (read: it does nothing). Together, they also do nothing. He claims to have published his research in medical journals. I have searched for his name in the pubmed database, and found nothing related to AIDS, but plenty related to veterinary medicine, which is what his degree is in.Â
There is a long history of distrust between Africans and Western medicine, which is absolutely understandable. Recently, however, many people have taken advantage of this distrust, and target the poor and desperate by claiming that Western medicine is suppressing their âcuresâ (some of them are white doctors from the West). We would all like it to be true that HIV/AIDS has an easy cure, with no side effects, that could be cheaply produced, but it isnât true right now.Â
For example, the government of South Africa up until recently refused to fund anti-retrovirals for its citizens because it favored ânatural curesâ like the African potato and turmeric. This contributed to the deaths of 330,000 people.Â
âNatural curesâ prevent people from seeking treatments backed by evidence. Approaching this disease so casually is dangerous. AIDS is deadly disease, but with proper treatment, it doesnât have to be.Â
Please donât spread harmful misinformation.Â
