2 months post op

Everything is coming along well. There’s still numbness in areas and quite hard around the incision lines. My left side near my pit has a small bit of skin sticking out from where the drain-like piece was removed. I assume it’ll flatten over time.

I’m finally going to start scar treatment. I’m far enough in the healing process to start my fitness journey and I look forward to showing my progress

Double incision Procedure cost $6400 cash out of pocket (No insurance coverage)

spent $7500 total between airfare, hotel accommodations, food, post op appointments and the actual procedure cost.

3 days shy of being a MONTH POST OP

Incisions are pretty clean. Swelling has gone down significantly. I’m tender in a few spots. Where my drains were there’s a small bulge of skin on each side that I assume will flatten over time. I didn’t have much side fat pre op that would’ve resulted in dog ears so that’s good! My nipples are completely attached and I don’t fear them falling off in the shower anymore. The color of my nipples are slowly returning. Maybe within the next month or greater they will be completely brown again. Final results may take up to a year and I’m okay with that.

I’m so anxious to get to the gym although I don’t want to start too soon. 6 weeks is the said earliest date to start after top surgery but to be extra careful I think I’m going to wait an additional 2 weeks after that mark. I’d hate to stretch my scars. I’m also hopeful that my scars won’t be too noticeable and clean as my initial incisions. Either way, I intend on getting that area of my chest tattooed. I am so excited about that.

Exactly 2 weeks post op.

I still have some swelling. Ive heard of some guys saying it last months. My nipples have started to peel . For me it seems to be a slow healing process since I’m still stuck wearing this uncomfortable compression vest and have some slight pain. My pain is not as bad as last week so there’s progress. I took my drains out today. As a matter of fact , my wife removed them after taking this photo.I don’t like the pigmented middle area of my chest. It wasn’t this way prior to surgery either. I’m assuming it’s a correlation of skin sewn back together and loose skin. I know it’ll get better. I also intend on getting my chest tattooed once I’m healed completely . 5 weeks from today I’ll be able to finally start my fitness journey. Now that I’ve had top surgery there’s literally nothing holding me back from getting back in shape. I’m excited to share my progress here. 💪🏾 🏋️‍♂️

5 days post op Top surgery with Dr.Kenneth Wolf!

As of now there’s still some swelling so results aren’t 100 yet. I’m happy and feel a sense of relief. I finally can feel comfortable in anything I wear and be cool in summer since I’ll no longer need to wear multiple layers . Damn it feels good to be free.

Now it’s time to get back in shape. I’ve been out of shape and over weight for 3 years now and I’m ready to start looking good again. Current weight is 160 lbs
