Well, 2021′s been a Thing. What say you all we take a vacation?

Whether you’re in the northern hemisphere and enjoying the sun or in the southern hemisphere and you’re fed up with the cold, I think we all need a vacation given all this nonsense. So, for the month of July, I’ll be hosting a series of ask and art prompts, and a week long takeover at the end of the month (July 26-31). Please remember to tag all your content with #selfshipsummer2021 so I can reblog and show off all your art and fics!

Question: How long will you be reblogging content for the event after it's over? I know I'm personally probably going to end up falling behind on the prompts a little bit (I'm already technically a week behind) so I wanted to check on that.

hii i know this is a summer themed event but is it allowed to creatively interpret the prompts so they're not necessarily summer-centric? I know this is so petty but I'm not from the north hemisphere and there's always so many events this time of year but there for summer themed events so I typically feel left out :(

I'm Australian, I get it, I'm fed up with winter already, but you don't have to interpret it as summer-centric if you don't want to. Interpret it however you want. ^_^

I know you made this lot today, but if the event is through the month of July when should we expect the essentials to be posted?

I'll have things up by the end of June and ready for everyone to enjoy on June 1st.

This event is for everyone, including pro-shippers and those who are, in general, tired of the discourse and just want to have fun. Let's take a vacation!

The theme for this event is "Beach party", and will be running all through the month of July. Bring the barbecues, the umbrellas, your sunscreen, and some marshmallows for the bonfire. There'll be prompts coming and a much more official post as we come into July. Make sure you use the tag #sefshipsummer2021 for any works or asks so I can see it, and remember to be respectful of each other's boundaries.

If you are caught causing trouble for anyone, you will be banned from participating in this event and any more events in the future. Harassment will not be tolerated.
