Have a piece of writing I made a bit ago at the start of the year when I changed my avatar on roblox! (It's shit, just warning you)

The moon, shining down on her, leaving her with nothing but the everlasting sting of the cold on her gloveless hands. she treads throw the snow, her footsteps covered by new snow falling from the sky like stars that were rejected by the goddess of space herself, while praying to that same goddess for a mercy that is never shown. She stays patient, despite that her minutes and seconds are slowly ticking away with every fleeting moment of no respite.

I have a personal headcannon that another reason why Kris did this when toriel asked Kris to show Susie how to make pie because Kris doesn't know whether the player can make pie or not, especially if it's a certain recipe toriel made

I know there are moments, like the huge piano, were Kris controls themselves even with the soul (like the millions of times they've pulled their soul out) but I feel like it'd just be funny if Kris was just like "oh fuck, do they even know how to make pie? Do they even know my mother's recipe??? Yeah hell no, I'm not letting them make a pie they probably don't even know how to make." And then made up the excuse of needing to wash their own hands too

this entire chapter the thematic element of kris being denied access to romance felt so fucking potent. susie kills their chance with pink, their childhood crush and new crush are dating eachother and ignoring them, ffs even berdly was pushed away by susie. blue's monologue about love gets cut off when it reaches kris. why is kris being denied love repeatedly? why is love such a significant thing that they seek (see: they're constantly flirting) but can never have.

love finds its way to THE GIRL!!!!

ive believed for a while that kris is being societally pressured into closeting their transfemininity and i think this supports it.

kris cant find love because kris isnt given the chance to BE A GIRL!!!!

And it can't be Noelle unless it's revealed somewhere that she too uses swords like Kris does. Maybe it might be revealed somewhere that Noelle uses swords, who knows?

noelle can use swords but the issue comes with the fact that the prophecy panel depicts the girl without antlers.

theres also something to be said about the fact that these arent "these characters actually fit into different roles in the prophecy" its "the prophecy has to be broken".

theres degrees of nuance to it but generally.

if kris is a closeted trans woman, then it would make sense that the prophecy, which already has decided to have noelle fill the role of the girl, to block kris out from love and transfemininity as to not overflow the prophecy.

something could also be said about it potentially being that love can only find its way to the girl but i doubt that because susie and noelle finding love doesnt stop other non women from finding love (blue and yellow, etc)

with the idea that love and womanhood (or maybe femininity moreso) are associated, kris flirting and wanting love but being denied it can be seen as an expression of their internalized desire to express outwardly as feminine and/or as a woman that is being prevented by societal forces.
