The thing about the sun and the moon
The sun always shows up in her fullest self. She’s always shining radiantly. Sometimes clouds cover part of her, but she never intends to hide behind them simply because she has nothing to hide. She’ll shine whether or not clouds show up. Her light is often a source of genuine happiness to others.
The thing about the moon is that she doesn’t always show up in her fullest self. Most of the time she doesn’t. She tends to hide part of herself away, not because clouds are covering her, but because she simply doesn’t want to reveal her every aspect. She doesn’t wear her heart on her sleeve openly like the sun does. In fact, it seems there’s always something new to learn about her. And to make her existence even more intriguingly mysterious: at the very beginning of the calendar (what’s meant to be the start of something new) she always cloaks herself and the world in complete darkness.
The moon is my spirit anim--planetary object.
