To the one who loves her next,
You’re probably wondering why I’m writing you. It seems weird, I know, but I felt compelled to talk to you. There are a few things I think you should know since you’re the person she calls home now.
She absolutely hates any kind of seafood. Seriously. She’ll be willing to try it but in the end it’s just not her thing.
Tell her about your childhood. She’ll want to know everything so don’t skimp on the details. She’s fascinated by people’s histories. Listen to her tell her stories and listen carefully. She doesn’t give this information easily.
A lot of the time you’ll think she’s flirting with guys. She’s not. Remember, she’s yours for a reason. Even if guys snapchat at her all the time and text her, she’s yours.
There are reasons why she’s distant at times. Don’t take it personal. There are things from her past that still haunt her. It’s not that she doesn’t trust you. It’s just that she’s lost so many people in her life and been so let down that she doesn’t have expectations for anyone anymore. She finds it hard to let people in, to realize she can count on them.. Give it time.
She is probably the most fiercely independent women I know. She is also immensely insecure and it breaks my heart to this day. When you have a fight remember you’re always wrong, even if you’re right I know your pride with says that but your heart will let it go.
When she sends you something to listen to, listen to it. She listens to music with her heart and her soul in addition to her ears, and when she tells you a song she likes, it means it’s a song that she connects to and it’s a song that makes her FEEL. It’s a message, and you should hear every word of it.
She may keep some things from you sometime and maybe also lie here or there. Trust me, she does it in the best intentions whether to not hurt your feelings or others, get over it, everyone does. It’ll be okay.
She’ll tell you how much she hates her mom, but she doesn’t, trust me. It’s that firewall again and as much as she gets mad at her family or mother she loves them with all her heart.
When she’s having an anxiety attack, which may come around every once in a while, wrap her up in your arms and rub her back and put her face in your chest. Tell her she’s safe and remind her to breathe.
You’re probably wondering why I’m telling you all of this. The truth is that she was the best thing that ever happened to me but our timing was off. We were never in the right place at the right time. I guess you could say I never felt like I really had her. And maybe I didn’t. I’ll never know and that’s okay.
Don’t take her for granted. She comes around once in a lifetime, and if you’re lucky enough to get her, you should hold on. You shouldn’t care a bit about timing. Just be with her because you love her, and stop worrying about everything else. Don’t walk away from her ever, I made that mistake.
Losing her is a pain you will never shake, take it from me. Your world will come crashing down on you and those pieces won’t ever fit the way they used to. It’s like a mirror that shattered and you try to use to it again but when you look in the relfection you don’t recognize yourself. Don’t let her go.
I can’t promise that you’ll ever be the same again, because this girl isn’t like the rest.
She will love you with all she’s got. Please give her the same. I am begging you to not hurt her. She is worth the galaxy and the universe that revolved around it too.
This is what I ask of you: respect her. Love her. Be honest with her. Always be loyal. I wish you two the best.
