So Racist He Would Make Adolf Hitler Blush
Roberto Maldonado recently went on a racist rant claiming that if a Blanco (a person with white skin) enters "his" neighborhood, this becomes a "primordial act of violence".
He also criticized the idea of "diversity" saying there's no place for it in the 26th Ward.
Maldonado hides behind his Puerto Rican heritage, but the truth is Maldonado doesn't care about regular Puerto Ricans. He's using a trick to deflect blame to an imaginary enemy (Sally and her dog) so that Hispanics don't realize why they're actually poor: Maldonado is using his position to do everything in his power to guarantee that his constituents stay as isolated and as poor as possible - so him and just a few of his friends are able to get rich.
Think about it: Maldonado owns the most property in his own ward of any other alderman in the city. To say it's a "conflict of interest" is an understatement. Rumors have it that it's dozens of properties across the ward.
He lives in a $2.6 million dollar mansion, while the average property in his neighborhood is worth only $300,000.
Maldonado pays less property tax on his mansion than his Puerto Rican neighbors living in small houses. How is that possible?
Lastly, how is that a house in 26th Ward is worth $100s of thousands LESS than houses across the street in neighboring wards such as Logan Square or Wicker Park? The same house: built the same year, same amount of bedrooms, same condition - Cross the street into another ward and it's worth hundreds of thousands of dollars more.
Can you really say the location is better? Across the street? No. It's because the politics in the ward have been rigged against Hispanics and African Americans to make sure they stay poor. It's done on purpose with his policies that he setup for his real estate scheme with a few of his friends. Maldonado thinks you're stupid. We're not.
His solution? He wants to move Hispanics and African Americans into his carefully setup prison system he controls and he calls "affordable housing" that he's making money from. Get it? He made sure through his policies that his neighbors stay poor, then when they can't afford the bills, he wants them to move into one of the "affordable units" that he's making money from. It's a real estate criminal enterprise you can't find anywhere else in the country even if you looked.
No Maldonado, Hispanics and African Americans aren't leaving the ward because of Blancos, they're leaving the ward because they know they're in a poverty trap. They know that they only thing they have to look forward to is one of the properties that you're making money from, crime that never gets addressed, a park that is never maintained. Who wouldn't rather live in the suburbs?
Violent Crime Is No Big Deal Says Maldonado
Maldonado made the outlandish statement recently that crime is not a problem at all in the 26th Ward because "ONLY 14% of shootings in Chicago are in the 26th Ward."
When you consider that there are 50 wards in the City of Chicago, that would mean that shootings are almost 3X or 180% higher than the average ward in the city!
VIOLENT CRIME (SHOOTINGS) ARE 180% HIGHER IN THE 26th WARD THAN THE REST OF CHICAGO.
Laziest Alderman In The City
Do-nothing Roberto Maldonado has the worst attendance record in the Chicago City Council. He's notorious for ignoring all requests and communications from constituents.
The only thing he's good at is campaigning 6–9 months prior to every election. You have to wonder how a politician with such a terrible track record, that doesn't take his responsibilities seriously, is able to keep winning elections? Now we know, it's been documented that he has been able to rig the Chicago machine in his favor by submitting fraudulent and illegal votes. Luckily people are catching on and his crimes are coming to an end.
