Labia stretching, Labia Elongation, Ekhozo elide, Okusika Enfuli
Labia stretching, also referred to as labia elongation or labia pulling, is the act of elongating the labia minora through manual manipulation (pulling) or physical equipment (such as weights) It is a familial cultural practice in Rwanda, Malawi, Uganda, Burundi and a few other countries in Sub Saharan Africa and a body modification practice elsewhere. It is performed for sexual enhancement of both partners, aesthetics, symmetry and gratification. The early recordings of the results of the practice are perhaps among the Khoisan peoples of southern Africa, where the inner labia were seen to be several centimeters longer than the outer labia.

Elongated labia are perceived to facilitate orgasm and female ejaculation, and are considered to enhance sexual pleasure for both partners. Women who have unequally long labia may increase the size of the shorter to achieve symmetry. They also swell inwards partially blocking the entrance to the vagina.
Some women who have larger labia seek to reduce their size through labiaplasty, due to discomfort or pain.

In Rwandan culture, female family members teach girls at puberty how to pull their labia to lengthen them (gukuna in Kinyarwanda language), using local medicinal flora to ease the process. Women continue the practice into adulthood and through marriage. The most important aspect of this act sometimes referred to as, “gukuna imishino”, meaning pulling the labia, is to assist the couple to perform the sexual practice of “kunyaza”

Elongated labia (also known as “Sinus pudoris” or “macronympha” and “albeit nonmedically”, as khoikhoi apron or hottentot apron) are a feature of certain Khoisan groups, whose female members develop relatively elongated labia minora, hanging up to four inches outside theirvulva when they are standing in an upright position. The "apron" moniker was apparently gained from the tendency of early European descriptions to misidentify the pair of labia as a single, wide organ, which they called, in French, a tablier, or "apron".
This trait was first noted as far back as the 17th century, but became extensively documented in the last part of the 18th and the 19th century. It was Sarah Baartman’s 19th century case that brought the elongated labia back out for discussion. For many years, the identification of Baartman was questioned because she demonstrated this feature. In the Gender and Science Reader, elongated labia minora were said to be portrayed by a “Negro.” So it is because of this trait that Baartman was considered to be part of the Superior race, being that the superior race, had "Elongated the labia minora" (long sized labias).
Labia may also be shaped by intentional labia stretching, usually done by an older aunt on girls beginning at the age of five,
