Anyways here's my intro. Hey, I'm Senku, aka the guy that's gonna bring back the entire world from petrification starting with TUMBLR!!! for whatever reason. Oddly convenient that we had just enough materials on hand to craft a cell phone with access to Tumblr (/sarcasm obviously. this doesn't make a millimeter of sense, but it's for the plot). The service is pretty janky so far but the kingdom of science is working on it.

Made this blog to keep track of the stuff we're up to and to stay connected. Hopefully I'll have some time to answer some questions if they come my way. This could be exhilarating

hey senku why are the clouds cotton candy pink in the early morning light sometimes?

Imagine you're trying to shoot a laser beam clean through the middle of a really intense dodgeball game. Not a common situation on the ground, but it's happening all the time in the sky.

Sunlight contains a lot of light with different wavelengths, blue and purple light being the shortest and red being the longest. Earth's atmosphere is filled with tiny gas particles that are much smaller than any of these wavelengths. When passing through the atmosphere, every wavelength except for blue and purple are able to avoid these gas particles and stay together to appear as white light, but because of the sizes of their wavelengths, blue and purple undergo something called Rayleigh scattering which separates them from the other colors. The blue light bounces off the gas particles and becomes scattered before it reaches our eyes, making the sky appear blue.

At sunrise or sunset, from where we're standing, the sunlight has to hit a lot more of these gas particles before it gets to us, so the particles filter out the smaller wavelengths more thoroughly and only warmer colors are able to make it through.

But we're still not done. The pink color comes from a different type of scattering that the red light has to go through called Mie scattering, which is scattering via particles larger than the light's wavelength instead of smaller ones. The red color gets lighter as it's scattered by these larger particles, and clouds are a part of this process because the water droplets inside of them are relatively large, which is why they look pink.

Have you ever touched Senku's hair? Is it as dry as it looks? Is that why it stands up IMMEDIATELY after drying?

Is it like, premium organic grass, or something?

I have copped a feel of Senku before. He did swat my hand immediately after though.. BUT, from what I remember it’s more crispy near the ends where it pinches together..?? It’s not as dry or ittle-bray as expected- but yes it’s sort of like grass! Looks dry but not dry enough to stop you from running your fingers through it!!

I find it so damn interesting that Senku is moderately strong at handling alcohol but Hyogo isn't.

So, how is such a light person somehow good at handling alcohol while a strong person isn't. I am so curious.

Obviously, my neurons are so locked in that they're prepared for alcohol before I even drink it.

Alcohol tolerance is also partially genetic. Some people have less sensitive GABA-A receptors, some have more effective metabolic processes in their liver thanks to genes that produce enzymes that just happen to work faster in some people, etc. These all probably account for it, too.

i heard saturn is the lightest planet.. like weight wise... that true?

Saturn has the lowest density, but its weight is insanely difficult to calculate because weight is dependent on gravitational acceleration and that's relative. So if we do it based on its position relative to the Sun... The answer is no. Gravitational acceleration with respect to any celestial body depends heavily on your distance from the center of gravity. So Neptune, with both a lesser mass (which gravitational acceleration is also dependent on) and a MUCH farther distance from the Sun, is the lightest with respect to the Sun.

If we did it based on Earth's standard gravitational acceleration at the surface... The answer is still no. That would turn out to be whichever planet has the lowest mass, which is Mercury. Saturn would be one of the heaviest that way.

You magically get teleported back to before the petrification for exactly one hour, what are you doing?

Lets say you can choose the day/time you're teliported back to but even if its years away you still get teliported back to the stone world an hour later.

I've been brainstorming on this one for a bit. And I've come to the conclusion that nothing I could achieve in an hour would do anything to change the future significantly enough for it to work out as projected. Can't stop the petrification, definitely can't convince Byakuya not to board the rocket... I could technically spend the time sending information about the petrification to the scientists, but however that works out would depend on the stipulations of your little time experiment. I can guess based on how it's framed that you're probably trying to get something sentimental out of me. Well, fine. I'll bite.

I'd go back to one of the days before my old man left for space. We could hang out.

It wouldn't make a difference. But maybe I'm stuck in the past. Just a little.
