my goodness, i’m terrible at keeping up the activity on tumblr here. though, my lame excuse is that work has taken a lot of my attention and motivation (either by shitty coworkers/managers or because of the holidays, both past and upcoming). my muses have been here, like, a lot, but the motivation to continuously come here on tumblr felt like a chore. however! i am hoping to force myself here again. i’ve been feeling inspired and i want to give more characters love.
honestly, i actually made a server on discord (thanks to finding a bot that creates character profiles and something of the like), so i could ‘roleplay’ those characters in certain channels, figure out background information, headcanons and other little things, while also gathering inspiration like aesthetics and music and photos of themselves or inspired by them. why bring this up? well, you see, i thought about opening it up to guests, so they can interact with them, either as their own or with a character they are comfortable playing as there. mostly to help me build up more muse for those characters and even dig more into their brains. (and plot anything in the meantime and keep in touch with all you lovely people).
ngl, i feel like i’ve been disconnecting myself from the roleplay community and i want to push past my anxiety to reconnect or even make new connections with other roleplayers. writing and roleplaying is a fun thing for me, and it’s something i absolutely enjoy sharing with others (especially when i can help create intense moments).
ah… enough rambling from me now. lol i am going to catch up on needed replies and maybe start working on more of my characters. but please, do feel free to contact me. my inbox is completely open. <3
malik-fall-out:
He flinched a bit when he was touched. He had not experienced a gentle touch of any form before so it clearly unnerved him. He hesitated on his planned course of action because of it.
He smirked at the others last set of words. He shrugged.
“For all I care you can leave us both for dead, it’s not like I’ll get to have a future outside of-” he stopped himself. He knew better than to think like that around his stronger half, his smirk was bitter as he stared at the ground.
Even as Malik flinched, Ryou paused and pulled his hand away briefly before continuing his work once more. He had to remind himself that just because the dark being was in control, did not mean that he could just allow his friend’s body to be damaged; and if he was allowed to help it, then he’ll take that opportunity, the risk or none. Once he had finished bandaging a few of the wounds, he glanced over to the other with a raised brow. “A future outside of . . . what?” He wanted to push, yet he was sure he wasn’t going to get an answer. Still, it was at least a sign that he was paying attention and that he wasn’t going to let something like that get away, especially when he was wondering why this dark being had returned in Marik’s life.
malik-fall-out:
He watched his prey leave, he muttered angrily tracing the knife across his own leg. He was trying to keep control aggressively trying to right back Marik. He knew he wouldn’t be able to fight back for much longer.
He watched and waited for Ryou to kneel down. He tossed the knife away from himself, hoping to lull the other.
He had to make his last defiant move now. He pursed his own lips to mimic the other. “I can see why he is fond of you. Outside of your previous vesselhood you are rather helpful, loyal. Even now your trying to help him while sitting so close to danger.”
Having kneeling down, he kept an eye on the other for a moment until he had to completely take his eyes off of him to search for the right items. Thankfully, the knife was away and out of reach to allow him to relax a bit, even when he wasn’t watching. He didn’t stop while the other spoke, trying to not let any little word get to him. Taking out the clean gauze, he started to work on Marik’s body, wiping away as much blood as he could before pressing pressing on some to keep the blood from oozing more. “Even during that . . . time, I had tried to be helpful as much as possible.” His words were a bit blunt, but it wasn’t something he liked talking about when it came to the past. There was a pause, however, from the last statement, and Ryou finally glanced back up to Malik. Without looking at the kit, he tried to remember if there were any scissors in there in case he needed to defend himself . . . or toss them off to the side with the knife to keep it out of reach of the other. “Do you want me to help or not?”
malik-fall-out:
He growled at the other like a gaurd dog. He enjoyed Ryou’s reasoning but he didn’t like how weak he felt.
He growled sliding to the floor. ‘If you know how to help him then go.“ He gave permission leaning back to the wall.
The growling caught him off guard, preparing himself for another attack by closing his eyes and tensing up. However, nothing happened and his eyes slowly opened up after a moment. Standing there, he watched as Malik slid down onto the floor, realizing that his previous thoughts on what was happening were becoming true. It was when the other spoke up again that he snapped himself out of his daze. He nodded slightly without a word before quickly heading off to the bathroom, finding and grabbing his first aid kit. It was crazy to think that he was going to help a dark entity, unless the original Marik takes over again ( which he hoped ). It didn’t take long for him to find it and return to the other’s side. His lips pursed together as he watched Malik for a moment before carefully kneeling down beside him, opening up the kit to prep.
malik-fall-out:
He hummed keeping an eyebrow raised. He didn’t want to kill Ryou, but he didn’t know Ryou. To him Ryou was the host of the Ring who had no control over his life until the ring was gone. He oddly identified with not being able to live a life. However he knew why, he knew WHY he didn’t get to live this life.
“You’re safely is the only leverage I have to even be standing before you. Dont take it personally. It would be the same if you were my beloved sister, or that fool Brother. ”
His words were cold but he was clearly relaxing, perhaps due to the blood loss.
They were words that he would take, at least in this moment. At least there were signs of him relaxing a bit, yet that didn’t mean he was going to bring his guard down. “T-Then . . . I don’t have to fear you.” Easy, Ryou, don’t get too hasty - you’re still in danger. Still, he was sure that he was in the clear. Malik was relaxing and perhaps a bit slower than before - and that’s when it hit him. He was slowly losing blood, which was both good and bad. Good, because Malik won’t be as dangerous; yet bad, because that meant that it was putting Marik in danger of blood loss. “ . . . He needs help . . . “ He whispered softly, a hint of concern in his eyes as the urge to run to the bathroom was growing.
sennenring:
“If the sky could dream, it would dream of dragons.”
malik-fall-out:
He gripped the other’s chin. “Oohh an interesting question. Do we not seem to seek the same things? Freedom, powers, a new life?”
He placed the blade threateningly against the others cheek. “I didn’t choose how I came to exist but I will do anything to have some freedom, just like him.”
His body tensed from the touch of the blade against his cheek, but he never allowed his eyes to stray from the other. Stay calm, stay calm, he thought repeatedly, doing anything to try to calm himself. “Then . . . if you do seek the same things so strongly . . . what about my safety?” He paused, waiting for some kind of reaction. “You . . . You mentioned that he wanted you to not harm me.” He wasn’t sure if that was some kind of test to see if Marik’s words were true, or to find out that they both have some differences. Either way, it was a desperate measure to try to stop him.
malik-fall-out:
Malik had moved very close to the doorway but he didn’t lunge at the other when Ryou peaked around.
He smirked. “It’s so strange. He didn’t beg for his own life when I almost destroyed him all those years ago.”
He reached out he bloody hand to the other’s face. “But he is for yours… maybe your kindness broke him.”
Eyes widened as he saw just how close they were, and a soft gasp left him as he felt the hand on his face. Immediately he latched onto the dark being’s arm. His eyes stayed on Malik, even as he spoke, trying his best to stay calm. “A - Aren’t you two of the same soul? Wouldn’t you both want the same thing?” A dangerous question, but it had him wondering. His voice was starting to waiver, especially as he remembered the knife thanks to the blood on his hand.
“If the sky could dream, it would dream of dragons.”
malik-fall-out:
He hummed eyes staying steady at the darkness. “Why though, What has he done for you.”
He moved slowly towards where Ryou’s voice was coming from.
“You seem so smart, so what did he do to trick you?”
The question made him wonder for a moment. He had always been kind hearted, so willing to sacrifice himself for those even he barely knew. Why? He didn’t want anyone else to suffer the way he did. Sure, many of them didn’t do anything for him; in fact, many looked down on him for who he was - but that never stopped him. Closing his eyes for a moment, he took in a deep breath. “He didn’t trick me . . . He didn’t use any kind of trick or game to befriend me.” If he remembered correctly, Marik actually didn’t wish to get close in the first place, not that he blamed him as he was the same way. “You don’t need to owe someone their friendship over something. That isn’t how it works.” Eyes opened, pushing himself away from the wall to peek around the doorway to see just how close the other was.
malik-fall-out:
He mused, continuing to walk around the kitchen. “Now why would I stop just because you asked me~” He cooed to the other turning his head towards the darkness.
“You obviously care or you would have run, so why do you care little one?”
No, he knew that the other wouldn’t stop just because he asked - but it was a good try. However, he wasn’t going to quit. Ryou stayed quiet, leaning against the wall as the question came his way. “I’m his friend.” He started, his voice soft. The doubt from before crossed his mind, but that was quickly pushed to the side. “If you must know, he’s come to me a few times, and I helped him. I will continue doing so as long as I’m able.”
malik-fall-out:
The dark being had made his way back to the kitchen looking for anything to heat the knife with. Honestly he was curious if he could figure out how to get a flame. He was pretty sure he heard Ryou but he made no move to find him. The little non host would come find him. He hummed walking around the kitchen, already lightly drawing over his own arm with the knife.
“Who could that be that I hear? Someone hid very well, but it would have been so much easier to stay hidden.” He cooed leaving a trail of his own blood behind himself.
It wasn’t difficult to find where the dark being was at, thanks to the trail of blood left by him ( he is grateful that his own wounds didn’t leave a trail ). Seeing that the trail had gone into the kitchen, his worry increased. However, he slowed his pace down the closer he was getting to the kitchen. He didn’t want to reveal himself too soon, even if the other knew that he was moving again and out of hiding. For now, he stayed near the doorway of the kitchen, keeping an eye on the entrance. “Whatever you’re about to do . . . don’t do it.” Will his words be effective? Probably not.
malik-fall-out:
His breath relaxed as he looked around Ryou’s living room. It seemed empty and he found that completely unfortunate. His first instinct was to push open all the doors, and open closets. Funnily enough for this killer, the idea of hiding under a bed was a concept that worked. He had never thought of that as a space big enough for a person. Even as he pushed Ryou’s room door open he spotted no one. He stood at the door completely blank face swaying. He should there swaying for a long moment before tilting his head.
“I wonder where the non-host went…” He held up his bloody hand allowing it to drip down to the floor as he watched it.
“It’s so strange to see you care so much. I figured you would miss that thief so much more. After all, wasn’t that your first friend? It seems in poor taste to lead on this non-host…”
He laughed at whatever response Marik must have gave.
“Lie to yourself all you want.” He turned away from that doorway practically purring. “Do you think he cares about you that much my heart? Let’s test it, after all I’m not above a little masochism, let’s see if I can figure out how to heat this knife~” He turned away from the doorway back into the main rooms.
Just seeing the pair of feet caused him to hold his breath for a moment, watching and waiting for him to leave. However, it was the one-sided conversation that held his attention. Of course, his words stung, planting small seeds of doubt. Marik had told him that he had preferred Ryou over the dark spirit, so it had to true with how he spoke it. At least, he tried to believe that now. Then it was until Malik brought up heating up the knife. Honestly, there wasn’t too much to make an open flame with the exception of the oven and possibly could use the heater if kept there long enough . . . ; however, his mind overreacted and a major red flag appeared before him. Just what was he planning to do with that knife? Let alone, a heated knife? Had he really plan on hurting himself with it? “Marik . . . “ He hissed, squirming out from under the bed, leaving the Rod in the bag behind. Unsure how he was going to stop him exactly, but he had to try. Unfortunately he wasn’t the greatest in coming up with plans on the spot.
malik-fall-out:
He found the kitchen first, opening drawers until his hands fell on a knife. He gripped the blade end, allowing it to cut his own flesh. Blood quickly poured from the opening. He began speaking again to the air.
“Oh non host, where could you be?”
He growled as he moved through the house again, seaking the other.
Keeping Marik’s bag close to him, he moved as swiftly as he could to the first place he could think of: in his room and under his bed. It wasn’t until after he got there that he cursed to himself for picking such a cliched spot. This was one of the things he criticized movies on, and here he was doing that very same thing. Interesting though how the human mind reacts to moments like this - not that he was too pleased to experience this in the first place. Still, here he was, with the bad tucked at his side, he kept an eye out for a pair of feet that belonged to Malik. If only he could hush his poor beating heart, knowing that he was starting to become terrified with what was happening. All he could do was wait and try to figure out a plan.
malik-fall-out:
The dark person looked at him with furry. “I will kill you to keep any freedom I can get.” He threw Ryou to the ground and gripped his own head screaming in Arabic.
Inside their mind Marik was trying to rationalize with him, anything to keep him away from Ryou. But the darkness desperately wanted this life, awareness. He looked down at Ryou and turned to explore the unfamiliar location looking for any kind of weapon.
A gasp left him as he was tossed to the floor, feeling the air get knocked out of him for a moment, forcing him to recover from the shove. His arms throbbed while feeling something running down them ( he was pretty sure it was his own blood from when Malik pierced his skin ), yet he slowly pushed himself up from the floor. Mind scrambled and his body ached, but it didn’t take long to gaze up at the dark being before him, staring at him for what felt like ages until they looked around for something. His heart pounded louder, realizing that he was in even more danger than before. The threat kept repeating in his mind, telling him that his life was now on the line. Instantly, his eyes went to the bag. The Rod was still inside, he was sure, and the dark creature made no sign that he knew it was there. Scrambling to his feet, he scurried his best past Malik, towards the bag to snatch it. Though . . . his kitchen and the room with his sculpting tools were another worry, but he hoped that it wouldn’t cross the other’s mind. Either way, he had no plans on getting killed.
