Unfortunately for the both of them, Aikuro was right. Kamina was currently a ball of self contradicting rage and fury. But under the rage and anger, under the hatred of this situation, Kamina was trying to explain something to the other.
That mere survival just wasn’t enough.
His eyes had seen it all before, he’d lived through a hellish wasteland ten times worse then this. Giants, crushing humans under foot for a dream of seeing the sky, beastlike demons that roamed the earth with the sole purpose of slaughtering anything that didn’t belong. Humanity fought to survive then. And their idea of survival was give up and hide.
The very idea of anyone fighting for something as pathetic as survival? It drove the man insane. Because if there was even the slightest chance that they would hide in the dirt again, then Kamina’s life. The promises he broke, the family he left, all of it. Was for nothing.
"Its simple. If you don’t have it in you to fight for something worth while. Get out of the way. I don’t got time for it."
The misfortune for the other only grew, as he continued to speak. There was a reason Kamina and Simon were such a good team. Kamina, brought forth the power and confidence within Simon, he held the man up so he could reach heaven. Simon held back Kamina, he stopped his brother from starting useless fights, he was the only man alive that could calm down the raging inferno of Kamina’s emotions. But when the other said Kamina was disrespecting it all. He threatened the mans life with bullets to the brain. But most of all. Aikuro crossed a sacred line, that no one should ever cross.
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU SAY TO ME?"
He told the greatest man alive, that what he believed, what he lived for. He was disrespecting it. That Kamina, was disrespecting what it meant to be a man.
And in a blaze of unnatural red flames bursting from his spiral warriors body, his eyes twisted into the helix that signaled a man who could defy all logic and rules. His tattooed body flamed brightly, raging just as much as the man himself. Because no one alive, ever told Kamina, he was disrespecting what it was to be a man.
"I DON’T UNDERSTAND IT? I DON’T KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE? BECAUSE YOU’VE GOT FUCKING BRAINS, AND BOOKS, AND HISTORY, AND KNOWLEDGE, BECAUSE YOU GREW UP ABOVE GROUND UNDER THE SKY SPOON FED YOUR WHOLE LIFE WHILE MEN LIKE BE HAD TO SCRAPE AND CLAW FOR FOOD AND LIGHT DOWN IN THE DIRT, YOU KNOW MORE THEN I DO?
BECAUSE YOU LIVED IN SAFETY, PLOTTING AND SCHEMING WHILE EVERY DAY WAS A DAY WHERE I WALKED THE EARTH, NO IDEA WHETHER OR NOT MY BROTHER WOULD DIE, OR I WOULD BE CRUSHED BY GOD KNOWS WHAT? DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE SPEAK TO ME UNTIL YOU’VE EVEN HAD A TASTE OF WHAT HELL IS. THIS. THIS WAR. THIS IS NOTHING. THE FACT THAT YOU’VE GOT SO MANY PEOPLE ALREADY PROVES IT.
DAI GURREN, NO MORE THEN A FEW SOULS, FIGHTING, CLAWING AT THE SUNLIGHT, GIANTS CRUSHING OUR SOULS WITH EACH STEP. AND YOU THINK THIS IS DEATH?
COME ON THEN. SHOOT ME. YOU’RE FUCKING WELCOME TO TRY. BUT I’M THE MIGHTY FUCKING KAMINA. I’VE BEEN KILLED ONCE BEFORE, BUT I ROSE UP AND TORE THE LIFE FROM THE MAN THAT DID IT. I WAS SENT TO HELL BUT I BROKE FREE BECAUSE YOUR FUCKING RACE OF HALF ASSED FUCKS CALLED ME. YOU EVEN THINK YOU CAN STAND UP TO THE RAGING INFERNO OF MY DREAMS, OF MY SOUL?
WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?”
