hunting is never easyâŠ
kaz is broken
upon realizing the one man
he admired and looked up too
the one man he actually cared for
saw him nothing more than a weapon
in his plan and kazuhira is unable
to even function right now
he thought he lost it all
but now, he really lost everything.
pxnishedsnake:
Itâs obvious that theyâre both drained, wearing their weariness in the bent of a cane or split knuckles. Venom has no desire to ignite another fight, and he can sense Kaz doesnât either. In his exhaustion he canât quite convey this, words a far gone thing that left him the moment he stepped out of his body.
Instead, he unhooks his Walkman from his belt and flips the cassette tape inside, hits REWIND and waits for the soft âclickâ to speak. âListen,â he instructs, depressing the PLAY button in the same breath.
As Big Bossâ voice, his voice, fills the space between them, Venom pushes the Walkman into Kazâs palm with shaking hands. He needs Kaz to know what Big Boss left for him, the job heâs been given that he no longer wants. It feels like a betrayal to John, sharing this trusted message with someone who hates him but he has to - thereâs no other way to make Kaz understand.
âDo you remember?â Big Bossâs voice murmurs, and V forces Kazâs fingers around the Walkman, forces him to take the burden if just for a moment. âWhat you were meant to do?â As he sinks back into the couch to listen, Venom turns his eyes to Kaz and waits for reaction, whatever it may be.
He doesnât expect Kaz to make it through the entire tape but judging by the way his own hands are shaking, he might not either.
The seriousness behind Venomâs intent doesnât allow Kazuhira to deny. He reaches for the tape, though his hand pausing in mid air when he hears his voice in the room. His heart drops into his stomach, his blood goes cold and he could feel every cell inside his body seize all movement to hear the man who ruined them all.
Big Bossâ voice continues without hesitation. He speaks this awful lie, and undeniable truth of he and Venom. Attempting to make things right with the man he erased by informing him he did a good job, and that the future--no, their future is brighter now because of it. His words only remind Kazuhira that he was never part of the plan, not even from the beginning. John met him in that forest and didnât see a potential friend, he saw a pawn... and speaking of friend, that word appears in the tape and Kazuhiraâs body jerks, tears stinging his pale eyes. The tape stops after the words Big Boss but it continues to play in his head and inflict Kazuhira.
A sudden burst of rage erupts from him and his body reacts immediately. He smacks the Walkman out of their hands, not caring if it gets destroyed in the process. Suddenly, a painful roar rips from Kazuhiraâs throat and he lifts a hand to clutch at his face. Violent tears stream appear from behind dark aviators and dampen his cheeks.Â
âGODDAMMIT!-- FUCK!!â
Kazuhira loses himself in the moment, body collapsing immediately in defeat. He falls against Venomâs shoulder, gasping for air in between his choking sobs. He knew John betrayed him, abandoned everything they had built together, but it only occurs now to him that he was never anything more than just a pawn on his chess board and Venom was too. He and Venom were closer now than ever, and he knew that there is no way manipulate him to destroy Big Boss, he wanted to bite the hand that fed him as much as Kazuhira did.Â
The few people who has heard Kazuhira cry have been dead for a long time, leaving no room for a rumor to stir that he could feel as deeply as the rest of them. Venom is the first one in a century to hear the disgusting noises of a shattered man, struggling to hang on to what little life he had in order to find a sliver of happiness in his hellish reality.
His hand grasps at Venomâs thigh, squeezing it tightly in his fingertips as he adjusts his head to hide his red face into his chest. Now that he has allowed the gate to open, he doesnât believe he will ever be able to stop.
âlove whatâs that?! ahaha!â
*thonk*
âwell, shit.â
MILLER HATES KIDS
thegreatbeyonds:
@sensoinu
âThey really expect people to live in this dump.â The captain knelt down examining the contaminated lake in sector two. Why did the scientists place apartment complexes in the industrial sector? It made absolutely no sense. Â
âItâs possible,â Kazuhira speaks up to answer the other; he limps towards his side, taking a glance down at the grimy water. âOr maybe theyâre challenging us to do something about it. What you do think?â
baddestdangerboy:
Badou rolls his eye so hard its a wonder it doesnât pop out of his head. But heâs already red in the face with mounting anger, that ainât good.
âFirst off, you donât get to use the âadults made you, be grateful you existâ bullshit excuse because they were supposed to stick around. Second, adults ainât doing shit for me now. It doesnât matter if Iâm made of atoms or whatever the fuckâ knowing that and accepting that ainât saving me. So blow it out your ass.â
Also fuck u Badouâs way cuter than Eli OR Eliâs True Twin.
âMaybe they should have,â he mutters, âbut they didnât and to transfer your detest for them to others is childish. Youâre wrong, look around you, these buildings, this pavement, they werenât constructed by snot-nosed brats like yourself. Mature people with innovative minds, desire to change the world gave you the opportunity to live another day without the dogs of the wild clamping down on your throat. Youâre wrong, thereâs a difference between knowing and accepting. Knowing is merely being aware that youâre just matter. Accepting it means come to terms that one day, everything that you are will turn into tiny particles and float back into the universe. Youâre only a child who believes he understands everything around him, youâre only beginning to live and the only ones who can show you a proper experience are the wise.â
zerogeass:
âOh? A mercenary faction? Were you a gun-for-hire or were you under a federal flag?â
"Diamond Dogs did the bloody jobs, yes, but we werenât guns for hire, no. We didnât stand behind any single nation or power, either. We were a force of change, seeking to eliminate corruption that seeped into every crevasse of governmental powers. Our ultimate goal was peace, not only for the war dogs, but for every mother, father, son, and daughter on Earth. We sacrificed everything we had, our brothers, our sisters, our sanity, and our flesh to ensure that one day we can lay down all arms, do away with religion and ideologies, and live in harmony.â Thereâs a pause, âAt least... that is what I dreamed of.â
pxnishedsnake:
Even under Kazâs full force, Venom doesnât budge. He clutches at his face with one hand, sharp edge of shrapnel slotted neatly between his fingers while Kaz screams like a man possessed by revenge against his back. There is nothing he can say to comfort Kaz and even if there were, he wouldnât want to. It had to be said. Bitter vindication coils in his gut, Johnâs words echoing across the years to reassure him. Kaz will understand some day.
Kaz walks and Venom lets him go. It would just be worse to chase after him, fed the flames of their argument by trying to set things right. You probably know how Miller is when he gets angry. John told me youâre familiar with him, especially when he gets into one of hisâŠmoods. Hereâs some advice, just between us: let him burn out before you try to make nice or heâll burn you too.
Venom comes undone in silence, thoughts gone static and steps out of his body and
and
andâ
âand heâs back, briefly disoriented by the weight of physicality. No longer on the street corner he and Kaz parted ways on, he stands before the door to his shack, hand hovering over the doorknob in hesitation. Venom notes his knuckles are split, bloody and raw as if heâs just come out of a fight. The lingering taste of copper in his mouth, the deep ache of a developing bruise at his jawline confirms his suspicions although he remembers nothing.
Thatâs probably for the best.
Venom opens the door, pauses when he sees Miller on the couch. Then sudden exhaustion catches up with his body and he doesnât care, steps in before shutting the door as gently as he can. He pads over to the couch to sit down besides Miller, back straight and hands clutched together in his lap even when the raw skin of Venomâs knuckles scream in agony.
There is a single place Kazuhira can retreat to. He speed walks across the city, moving people out of his way with his livid snarl. He arrives to the empty shack, eyes searching the living space for something to do that will release his angry. With his foggy vision, he peers at the couch. The cane swings at full force against the side, a loud smacking sound resonates within the shack.Â
âGod damn you! Damn you to hell, Big Boss!!â
He continues to swing at it, envisioning Big Boss as the couch. He hits harder, unaware that with every attack, the cane is bending ever so slightly. His leg nub screams for him to stop, unfortunately he ignores it until he couldnât ignore it any longer. The good leg he has buckles under his weight and he drops against the couch before collapsing on the ground.Â
â-- I DONâT WANT TO LIVE IN HIS SHADOW ANYMORE. YOU SHOULDNâT EITHER.â
Venomâs voice repeats in his mind again. His core ignites with fury, letting out another painful scream. Kazuhira hated John for everything heâs done to him--making him believe that he was useful to him, that they were friends who were on the verge of changing the world. Kazuhiraâ legs pull up to his chest and he curls into himself, teeth grinding so hard his jaw begins to click.Â
Two hours go by and Kazuhira manages to settle down. He crawled his way on to the couch and leans against the back cushion, his hand resting on his half leg. The door clicks open and he tilts his head slightly to listen to Venomâs heavy footfalls cross the living room to the couch. Venomâs extra weight lifts Kazuhira slightly up. He glances to Venomâs hand, spotting the raw flesh and the specks of blood that slip through the minuscule cracks.Â
Silence speaks volumes for Kazuhira. In his stillness, he conveys that he no longer wishes to take jabs at his sole friend. He lowers his head, a classic sign of submission; Kazuhira is sure that Venom will catch the movement from the corner his eye.
So letâs annihilate everything, I say. Thatâs my philosophy. God denies the world, and I deny God. Long live nothing, for itâs the only thing that exists.
Albert Camus, State of Siege
I thought I saw Heaven in your eyes, turns out Heaven looks a lot like Hell.
pxnishedsnake:
Silence. Deathly still silence follows Kazâs words, all his muscles tensed in surpriseâ and hurt. So much for their unspoken agreement to not bring up the Truth. Venom inhales, exhales with deliberate purpose to keep control.
âI know.â His voice is too quiet so he repeats himself with added force, teeth almost bared in a snarl. âI know. Iâm notâŠJohn.â Venomâs fist is clenched so hard he feels the plastic squeak and strain as gears struggle to stay in place. âIâll never be John, and I donât want to live in his shadow anymore. You shouldnât either.â
He turns away, drags his hand down his face. âI wonât let them tell me who I am.â And I wonât let you either.
The quiet that fills the air warns Kazuhira for the incoming attack. He knew before he spoke that his words would not only waver Venom from his choice, it also cut him. What he didnât know is that Venom wasnât willing to take the stab, he was going to fight back.
Then those words shock him like a bullet ripping through his chest. His body physically jerks back at the jab, his face contorts into an expression of pain and anger. Without a word of warning, Kazuhira throws his body against Venomâs back, using all of his force to push him.
âHe took everything away from us!â the words rip from out so harshly that his throat turns raw. Venom didnât touch a button, he didnât hit a nerve, he fractured an already broken bone. A violent yell rips from his throat, though itâs muffled from his face hiding into Venomâs back. It suddenly stops when his voice box no longer can support his anger. Kazuhiraâs body goes slack against Venom, yet he manages to peel himself off his comrade and turn away.
In this battle, no one won, everyone lost.
As he walks away from Venom, it occurs to him why he became to defensive about Venomâs choice: heâs more alone now then ever. With the Avengers, Venom has a chance to find himself, and itâs a possibility that his new life will no longer have desire for Kazuhira. The thought of being alone in this city, in this world, is unbearable.
let us hope that cap and kaz wont meet
cause kaz will hate his guts on default
the husband and wife are arguing
how embarrassing.
pxnishedsnake:
âDogs of war canât afford to be picky, Kaz. Youâre rightâ they arenât like us and we wonât make the same mistake to by putting our faith, our trust in them. We need supplies and they have plenty to go around.
Joining was a tactical decision. Nothing more.â
âTactical decision, tt, deciding whether to put out C4 to subdue rebels is a tactical decision. What youâre doing is-- itâs not safe. Youâre putting yourself under the control of two people that are not from our world. Iâm sorry to say this Snake, but youâre clay. Once you were rock, and made in the shadow of Big Boss. Youâre not Big Boss, youâre not him and you donât need Uncle Sam and a walking tank telling you who are you.â
pxnishedsnake:
Kaz⊠We need the money. Not to mention the resources weâll have access too.
Weâre dogs of war, Venom, we scavenge the battlefield for scraps. The last time we relied on a larger power to support our efforts, it went to hell. And judging by their appearances, theyâre not like us. We donât rely on metal to shield our bodies, nor do we stand behind any country or ideology.Â
yo kaz shut ur mouth
ur man is taking care of u
stop giving him shit
âNo.â
