Impact lancement Free 4G sur un des serveurs speedtests FR(on est encore très loin du max!)
Map update backlog has been processed. Updates may not be visible for another couple hours, until the caches expire on the devices.
Servers overloaded
Our servers are currently overloaded by traffic. You will increased slow map loading, compares and speedtest retrieving.
We're working full speed on optimizing what can be and adding capacity.
Slight coverage maps update backlog
We've built up a slight coverage map backlog of updates. It is likely that it will take until tomorrow morning to run through since our friends in the US are about to get up. Will post when processed.
Speedtests should not be affected : result should be visible on map as soon as uploaded
Map slowdown
Due to heavy heavy heavy traffic thanks to a couple publications, our maps are slower to update than usual. We'll be back to normal shortly.
We've just released our V3 with new maps to improve readability and speedtest results on the map, in real time.
Web site maps are now routed through a CDN to improve latency and speed up the load process. We have a notice that the CDN is serving about 66% of the traffic without actually requesting the map tiles from our infrastructure. Cool :)
Our infrastructure was optimized again this week, Android users should now see map update in minutes most of the time, one hour at most.
All maps are now up to date and updating throughout the day
CDMA maps are now up-to-date and updating in near real-time.
LTE maps are up-to-date including data from 6 hours ago.
The GSM backlog has been processed, most GSM maps are up-to-date at street-level zoom. Other zoom levels will update during the day. New data should appear within the day.
Wifi maps are up-to-date on most zoom levels. GSM backlog of data is fully imported and now being drawn. LTE data is current as of Monday for most zoom levels. CDMA is lagging a bit
We've had reports that our web site is acting bizarrely since we switched servers and had to run off an old backup : not geolocating users and wrong language displayed. We're investigating it. If anything else is wrong please let us know.
WiFi data from up to a day ago mostly redrawn on the maps. Other maps are between 2 and 4 days out of sync.
Sprint Wimax map is now up to date. Other maps are coming along.
Maps are now all up to date as of last Friday. Grey WiFi background is lagging, will start importing data from this weekend in the upcoming hours.
