parenting is not a kindergarten coloring sheet. we aren’t grading on effort. a parent’s goal is to keep a chid safe, happy, and needs met. if they fail at any one of those, their best wasn’t good enough. stop excusing toxic, neglectful, or abuse parents by saying they are doing their best.

i almost made a left without looking, but when i realized my mistake i looked left and saw that i would have gotten hit by an 18 wheeler that was driving down hill and followed by a line of cars. i’m so su*c*dal lately that the thought that i could have died actually turned me on?
