Ong ong rebranding of logo!

Here are some more items form their menu that would include rebranding . We were discussing to have several accompanying designs with the description of each item on the menu, similar to this:

We will aim for this using a black chalkboard and go from there! Such an exciting project :))

ONG ONG BUNS

In my part time work, I work at a bakery selling buns and other patisserie. It’s a family run business from a Hong Kong and Malaysian background. Aaron, the manager of the store, was wanting to redesign the logo and layout of the menu of ong ong’s buns, puffs and cakes. After attending a couple of meetings with other graphic designers, we settled on several designs that may be later printed and used for the menu and wrapping of their selection of buns, and I luckily had the honour to design a few branding designs!

Here are some wrapping paper designs I created that would be used to wrap their very own vegan sausage roll 🙃

Two Min Film Update

Update on the progress of my two minute film. I am happy with the progress so far, and considering the time frame we have left, i have kept animation minimal, instead replacing it with graphic visuals that go with the message of the lyrics. I have fixed most of the timing of the piece as well, and look forward to the final edit.

ELEMENTS PROJECT

In my elements, I chose my character colour to be orange, with the ‘emotion’ being turquoise and maroon bring the background. I designed my character inspired by Agni, the god of fire in Hinduism and Calcifer from Studio Ghibli’s Howl’s Moving Castle.

Here are some fonts inspired by Apex's rap style I will add into my lyric design. Apex talks about his first love in the song, referencing her as his first 'islam', so I wanted to design the lyrics partially from the designs from the Qu'ran and the lettering. As for the graffiti style, I am mostly focusing on post 1995 graffiti, some examples above to see.

Some designed lyrics I might include in the animation. I want to try and experiment more with the design of the lyrics, the rapper takes inspiration from West Coast rappers, so perhaps designing the lyrics after affiliations such as street art and graffiti would be a good move forward.
