Okay I’m going to try to properly put my sheer rage and disgust into a proper text post because someone needs to say it.
Black Forest Cake is a nazi. This is not a coincidental thing. It is deliberate coding.
Her saying alone “Rules and laws are set for us to do better, not to be disobeyed and broken!” is totalitarian enough as is but let’s get into her backstory.
In her backstory it states that she was a dictator who took control of a small village and forced the villagers to work against their will making Black Forest Cakes for her, regardless of their physical health (“even the ill were not allowed to rest.”) and wouldn’t allow anyone to leave. When the village started to trade with other places the villagers got a taste of freedom and wanted to escape. However, those who tried to escape had fallen angels sent by her to attack them.
Does that sound familiar? Because it should. Forced labor was a very core part of the concentration camp regimen. And her sending the fallen angels after those who tried to flee can easily be compared to SS soldiers siccing guard dogs on helpless prisoners.
I mean there are even elements incorporated into her design (which i unfortunately didn’t notice the first time around because I didn’t pay her that much attention)
She looks like a character you would see in a fascist anitwitter user’s icon. Her hat especially looks almost exactly like an SS officer’s hat. Specifically, it is easily comparable to an artillery officer’s hat.
Just take away and add in a few elements and there you go. You have Black Forest Cake’s hat.
Oh but if you think the troubling elements stop there, I’m sorry to say it just gets worse once you add Spaghetti into the mix.
Spaghetti is the one who convinced her to open trading for the village but at the end of her story he apparently apologizes for proposing the idea of trading and tries to comfort her by saying something the lines of, “Don’t blame yourself. Humans couldn’t possibly understand us.”
So we have a German dictator with an Italian ‘ruler’ who sympathizes with her and supports her cause.
Does that sound familiar? Because it should.
With all of these elements taken into account. There is no way to call it a simple coincidence. Funtoy knew what they were doing with this. They took a German dish and turned her into a nazi.
Now I will be the first to say that I am just a gentile, I am not actually Jewish. However, I’ve spoken to someone who is Jewish about this and she fully believes this to be the case as well. In fact she was the one who pointed out the parallel with BFC and Spaghetti to me.
I don’t want to see any of you calling her your cute little waifood or whatever anymore.
She’s a nazi, and unless you are Jewish, I don’t feel like hearing any arguments against this. The parallels are clear and blatant and the intent has made itself more than known.
