"I know what you are." - Rose

He had been at it again.

There he was, following yet another woman. This one he had spotted just a few days before. He now knew her daily routine, where she lived, who her friends were, even what sort of clothing she slept in. So far, he hadn’t made any actual contact with her and she hadn’t yet spotted him.

She had just sat down to eat her lunch at a cafe and he was across the street from her outside table that she liked. He was leaning against the wall casually, a book in his hands though he wasn’t looking at the book, he was staring across the street at her. He had no interest in her sexually, no real physical attraction. Instead, his interests were much more brutal. Morbid. Later that night, he knew he would surely paint or draw her, as he usually did. It was a ritual that he knew was sick and demented. It was his own sort of twisted pornography. He hated himself for it. But he was truly addicted.

It was then that he heard the familiar voice whispering to him. It belonged to the one person who seemed to somehow understand his twisted thoughts. Turning his head, he looked over to Rose. He didn’t smile but his expression softened slightly as he replied simply, “Yes, you do.”

The Seeker perked an ebon brow, no more words from her as she stared into his light eyes and she nodded toward the woman he stalked. “Let me help you.” Her tone quiet to match his whispers, as she drew a step closer, till her body could be felt against his, leaning in at the waist her lips neared his ear enough to graze against the lobe. “Let me show you.”

Frowning deeply, he simply stared at Rose for a long moment, “Why would you want to do that? Aren’t you afraid that if I cross that line I’d do same to you one day? Do you think you are so very different to me than she is?” His tone wasn’t cruel but merely curious, his gaze held a bit of fear as though perhaps these were things he was afraid of himself.

That ebon brow perked slowly and curiously, watching the Keeper with a faint but amused grin. “You don’t like me?” She chuckled, clearly not offended. “Yes you.” Her step brought her closer to the Bartender, grace in the step as her head canted. “You like me a lot. You like me so much you con’t know what to do with yourself… but you’re scared. You’re scared you’re really as bad as you think you are. But worse, if I’m as bad as you hope I am.”

Sera’tan flinches slightly as he glances away towards the ground with a low growl before managing a grumble. “You are like a mirror. I don’t like mirrors. They force me to see what I am. I don’t like myself. I hate myself.” Finally, he looks back up at her for a moment, a clearly pained look in his eyes. “But I do... like you. For lack of a better word. I can’t love. So I can’t say that. But I feel... something. I don’t like feeling things.” Sighing, he looked rather defeated as he gave a shrug.
