midnight run
Pairing: kim sunwoo x reader
Request: hi! can I get request midnight convenience store run fluff with sunwoo from the boyz please?
“Ah, I don’t feel like getting up.”
“I don’t feel like moving at all.”
You and Sunwoo have been staring at the ceiling for the past hour, too exhausted and lazy to even move a muscle or do anything productive.
After his practice finished for the day, Sunwoo immediately rushed to get his things together. The members didn’t even get to say their goodbyes before he was out the door to head over to your place. He used the spare key to enter, only to see you laying on the floor. Without any questions as to why, he joined you.
“What time is it?”
“Five minutes from when you last asked,” You replied, glancing at him. You chuckled when you saw the glare on his face. “It’s midnight.”
Sunwoo went quiet.
“Should we go do something then?”
“Do we have to?”
“No, but I kinda want to do a midnight convenience store run right now, if you’re up for it? You know, like how all the cool kids do.”
You couldn’t help but laugh as he wiggled his eyebrows, wearing a smug smile.
“Yeah, okay. As if you’re cool.”
“Hey!”
“But I wouldn’t mind. Let’s do it.”
He pouted, not being able to let the uncool comment you made towards him. You rolled your eyes, chuckling and shaking your head as you helped each other get up. Grabbing the hoodie off the kitchen chair on your way out, you and Sunwoo were off into the cold, winter night.
It was calm and quiet, bringing peace to those who still wandered under its lit sky. A small breeze created a chill here and there, making you stuff your hands in your pockets in hopes of getting little warmth. Looking up at the sky brought a sense of peace and you couldn’t help but to bask in it.
With your mind distracted, Sunwoo looped your arms together and pulled you along. You and your innocent mind of yours brought him trouble when you walked into too many poles. Though, he found it endearing when you were lost in your own little world.
“There it is,” Sunwoo said, bringing you out of your distracted state. Your eyes traveled to the brightly convenience store and you turned to him with a smile. Suddenly, you were filled with a burst of energy.
“Let’s go!”
“Hey, wait!” He didn’t have the chance to complain about your fast pace before you were pulling him towards the store.
Moments later, he found himself standing in front of the sweets section. He glanced over at you and fondly smiled at the way your eyes lit up at the sight of the desserts. You were mumbling to yourself about which to choose from since there were so many choices to pick from.
“Y/N.” He gently placed his hand on your lower back, starling you as you looked at him. He chuckled. “It’s my treat tonight, so pick out whatever you’d like.”
“I have never loved you more than I do at this moment.” You threw yourself at him, wrapping your arms around his neck. Rolling his eyes, he accepted your hug.
“Yeah, yeah. Choose before I change my mind.”
You immediately let him go, which brought a wave of coldness. He hid his disappointment and joined you in picking out sweets to eat. There truly were so many to try out. They looked so good.
The both of you decided to choose two for tonight, then made a promise to come back another night to get more. You left the dessert section and wandered around the store to pick up drinks, chips and anything that could make great late-night snacks.
“Okay, okay, but what about-” You paused to take a snack off the shelf to show Sunwoo.
“Strawberry flavored shrimp? Really, Y/N?”
You shrugged, innocently looking at the package.
“Why not? Don’t you want to be adventurous?”
“And ruin my taste buds permanently? No, thank you. There is still a lot of food I would like to enjoy until I’m old and grey.” Sunwoo stuck his tongue out at you as he passed you.
“Boo. Lame.”
He stopped walking. “Just get the small version and let’s go.”
“Yay!”
“But don’t come crying to me when you realize how gross it turned out to be.”
“It’ll be fine, no worries!”
“Uh huh.”
After choosing everything the both of you wanted, you were on your way to the register when a brilliant idea came to mind. You grinned as you twirled on your heel to face Sunwoo. Because he wasn’t paying attention, he bumped into you, almost spilling everything.
He frowned while you giggled.
“Bet on those?” You pointed to your favorite chips. He looked between the chips and you.
“Why? Don’t you have enough at home?”
You pouted. “What’s 1 more? Or 10 more?”
“You don’t need 10 bags, Y/N.”
“Oh, but I surely think I do.”
You grinned, extending your hand out for him to shake. He took a moment to consider his options. Begrudgingly, he took it as he wondered why you could possibly want so many. It was probably just because or you didn’t want to pay for them due to you being a broke college student. Must be the latter.
“Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!”
“Aha! I won! You have to pay up.”
He let out a sigh, but of course held up the deal.
Alas, as promised, Sunwoo paid for everything. He watched as the price racked up so easily with the amount of food you both gathered. Though, he supposed it was worth it if it meant making you happy.
“Sunwoo, can we get-”
“No.”
“How about-”
“We have it at home.”
You frowned, stomping down your foot. “But you don’t even know what I was going to say!”
“If it’s not at your place, then it’s at mine.”
“But Sunwoo.”
“You have to finish everything first before you buy more stuff, bub.”
“Lame.”
He chuckled, rolling his eyes. Then, he paid and gathered up everything before bidding the cashier a farewell. You walked over to him and tried to carry a bag when he pulled it away from you. He gave you a frown.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
“Helping you?”
“No, I’ve got this.”
“All right, all right,” You chuckled, letting it go. Then, you were heading home.
“Say, why don’t we go back tomorrow?”
“For what exactly? We have enough to last us a week.”
“Jeez, take my subtle hint of wanting to hang out with you already!”
“Could’ve just said so without the roundabout way, loser.”
“That’s it! You’re not getting any of my chocolate milk!”
“Hey, wait! That’s unfair, Y/N!”
