Hello! I'm a game programmer currently working on a party fighting game. I'd let to know why does your character have multiple hit boxes
She has a few different ones, and it’s mostly to get game-feel right:
1) Solid Collider is the hitbox for dealing with walls / terrain2) Hurt Collider is the hitbox for getting hit by enemies. Originally Solid & Hurt colliders were the same, but I wanted to change where her collisions happened and when she got hurt so they got separated.3) Crouching Collider Same as the Solid Collider, but only for when she’s crouching / crawling / ducking4) Ledge Collider not very important but used to deal with ledge grabbing detection. could program ledge stuff without this but given the Skytorn engine it was just easier to have one for this.
There’s also a hitbox for her melee attacks, but it changes size and is only active during the actual frames of damage.
