Sure, here's just what I've learned over my time and gathered from the community.

Have an old receipt in hand. It helps deter receipt checkers.

Wait to do your walkout when any SAs and LP near the exit are distracted, for example, helping another customer, checking another receipt, or investigating another beep.

Use a face mask and disguise your face (with makeup, sunglasses, hats, wigs). Exits are almost always riddled with tons of cameras. Protect your identity.

Avoid walking out at the same store excessively, at the same time of day or same day of the week. This is just a me thing. Avoiding walkouts on a schedule will avoid SAs and LP that recognize you. I usually rotate between Thursday, Friday, Saturday for days and late morning, afternoon rush, and late afternoon for my time.

If you do use a receipt make sure it LOOKS new, not old and crumpled up.

Walkouts are better imo then concealing but you always always have to time them right, when employees or LP isn't near the exit , I personally do walkouts at stores where registers aren't RIGHT up front if that makes sense. also I avoid places like wàl màrt due to receipt checkers being annoying lol.

I don’t see this being talked about a lot, so here’s a well-meaning warning about how you are going to see a lot of contradicting information and tips ✍️

One post may say that a certain store is easy, while another will say that it’s dangerous. That’s the simplest example I can think of, but it really applies to most things (like how much cameras are watched, what is tagged, if LP are present). Please please please do your own research and be critical of the information you’re seeing. Think for yourself, do not by any means take someone’s word for it. Do not rely on others for your safety, because when it comes down to it if you get caught that is on YOU and you will be the only one paying the consequences. So please, be proactive and be safe by taking matters into your own hands. What you see online is not fact, and not even your own experiences will always be consistent. There’s so many factors to consider (location, your appearance, skill level, time of day or year, etc etc etc), and if you don’t think it’s important enough to prioritize your safety, you will find yourself having a forced change of heart if you are caught. Nothing is more important than your safety and freedom, don’t let irreversible consequences be the thing to make you remember that.

for ios (no ads): download |unavpn (https://adblockluna(dot)com). it's completely free and not only blocks spotify ads, but all ads in general. i've been using it for years with no issue, but it's only available for ios. this is the closest you can get to "free premium" without downloading risky software afaik

for ios ("free premium"): the name of the app youre looking for is "spotify++" (or really any spotify mod). there are many different sites you can get them from, but the one that worked for me is as follows:

- go to this site (https://spotigeek(dot)com/spotify-plus/). there should be a download link (titled "download configure") with steps on what to do underneath. you do not need a jailbroken phone.

- I can vouch for its authenticity, but the app has a lot of pop up viruses akin to 🏴‍☠️ing movie sites, so be careful.

- there's also a chance the app gets revoked due to the liscence. if it gets revoked you have to uninstall and go through the process of downloading it all over again.

for android ("free premium"): i do not have an android so i cannot test this!!! please be careful:

that's about all I can say since i cannot test it 💔 it's the same site as above, so it should hopefully work just fine.

guys, i've worked in a mall and i have some tips :)

never look scared no matter what the situation, act normal all the time. check prices, ask employees random questions about the store or the product, talk on the phone with a friend while in the store.

wearing masks doesn't make you look suspicious, but never wear sunglasses.

try shopping with friends or a partner, it's less suspicious.

most of the employees don't care about you inside the store, they usually pretend to pay attention to customers but are not really paying attention.

we were in the store for all of maybe five minutes, def less than 10. it was fairly busy and we were looking at a section close to the front of the store. we were talking like normal shoppers and body concealed quickly with a makeshift blind spot.

then we got CS'd HARRDDD. like i'm talking four different people coming up to us within a few minutes. one offered to give us a basket (didn't specify for any items), and another was really pushing what we were shopping for (gifts or personal stuff). the basket thing freaked me out bc our $3ph neverrrr offers baskets like EVER. there's a chance it was offered bc we mentioned we were holiday shopping but idk it was still weird asf.

after the basket lady i nudged my friend and we started wrapping things up. basket whispered something to the greeter person (at least that's what it appeared to me) then the greeter came up to us and asked what we were shopping for. we gave some vague response and quickly got the hell out of there.

this happened in a m@ll branch so there's a chance we were noticed Iyft1ng in a different store and somehow $3ph was notified?? i really don't know bc to my knowledge what we were doing shouldn't have set off any Iyft1ng bells.

was any of this s/a behavior odd or am i overreacting?
