nothing hurt more then too hear that he had become the very
thing he fought so HARD too avoid.
A DISAPPOINTMENT TO HIS FATHER.
all his life he had NEVER wanted more then
TOO MAKE HIM PROUD.
too be the evilest, the sneakiest && the most conning
OF THEM ALL.
jay had spent YEARS perfecting && improving his
skills as a THIEF.
as a LIAR.
AS AN ARTIST. ( at least in the art of deception. )
for a moments, jay DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY.
he stood quite && waiting for his father too finish.
he wasn’t sorry, jay KNEW that he wasn’t SORRY.
FAR FROM IT. at his SHORT time at auradon prep,
he had been shown more LOVE, more TRUST &&
more COMPASSION then jafar had EVER shown him.
jay had NEVER BEEN evil like he had originally thought.
auradon had taught him, taught THEM that THEY were
NOT THEIR PARENTS. that THEY
could CHOOSE their OWN paths. && that they
did. but here his father was saying the exact opposite,
that THEY would never TRULEY care for them.
but prince ben LOVES mal, surely they ( or he )
must CARE ?
❝ dad i’m not you, i’m not a VILLAIN
like you. i don’t want too be evil,
when it feels so
GOOD TO BE GOOD ! ❞
GOOD?Jafar struggled to CHOKE down the insults aimed at his son, the weight of his anger was almost unbearable; the pain of his child’s betrayal resembled the sharp pain of a K N I F E in his back. The Sorcerer couldn’t shake the gnawing discomfort in his heart —— it was an odd feeling. . . Was this proof of true love? Perhaps it was; it would explain his reaction towards Jay’s sudden change of heart. His years of suppressing his love for his only child to avoid showing weakness proved futile. In this moment, Jafar felt exposed, naked, & afraid of what had truly become of Jay. The former Vizier eyed his son as he babbled on & on about how good being a hero truly felt, Jafar always sensed his son was different; he could never match Jafar’s hunger for power & evil. . . He was born to be good, it was in his blood & Jafar would be forced to accept him for who he truly was —— but he COULDN’T.
Allowing his only child to be drawn to the light would be a terrible mistake, calling hima “Hero” would be even worse. The Sorcerer never did believe in the HEROES & VILLAINS trope; it was an overused excuse for “good” people to do bad things and call it an act of valor and courage. They’d be awarded and crowned victorious, while people like Jafar —— the VILLAINS, suffer a fate worse than death; loneliness, grief, imprisonment & pain. It was a cruel trick the world played on the wicked.
❝ Did I ever tell you about a time when I, too, tried to be good? I was a young boy; searching for a family, for a home —— a place where I belonged. I once believed that the world was good. . . like I WAS. & do you know what good got me? Lonely nights on the streets, days where I went to bed hungry; when I didn’t know if I’d have a meal that morning. The only way to get what you want is to TAKE it. ❞
