Helga Hufflepuff teaches Herbology, Muggle Studies, and Charms.

Salazar Slytherin teaches ‘Ancient’ Runes, Divination, and Basics of the Dark Arts and Countermeasures**

Rowena Ravenclaw teaches Potions, Transifiguration, and Astrology

Godric Gryffindor teaches Dueling, Care of Magical Creatures

all founders had assistants and student assistants for each subject

there were different classes on different days 

classes such as astrology and divination started after supper

** Basics of the Dark Arts and Countermeasures was dropped after the Ministry of Magic got involved and abolished the course due to the rumors that the dark arts were being performed and taught.

Decades later it resurfaced by the instruction of Gryffindor, who chose to incorporate dueling into the course, thus changing the name to Defense Against the Dark Arts. 

The portrait of Slytherin had to have a silencing charm placed on it for a week since he couldn’t stop laughing when he heard that a descendant of his own bloodline cursed the position.

Hogwarts Founder Headcanons #002

Ages from oldest to youngest.

Salazar Slytherin: ahead of them by a few years but looks a decade or older than he actually is since he practiced the dark arts ( magic always has a price ), constantly the butt of “old man” jokes since he walks with a cane/staff from a knee injury.

Rowena Ravenclaw: older than Godric by a year and a half. Has always looked older than her age due to the wisdom held in her eyes and the way she carried herself.

Godric Gryffindor: thought to be the youngest of the group since there’s always a smile or an adventurous gleam in his eyes, purposefully grows out his beard to look older.

Helga Hufflepuff: younger than Godric by two months, age doesn’t concern her since they see each other as equals, has a natural healthy glow to her face despite weather conditions.

Slytherin Headcanon #002

There’s a room similar to the room of requirement that allows peace and privacy for those who are religious and need to pray to their deity/dieties.

Unlike the room of requirement, this enchanted space opens up to a hallway with many doors if more than one student enters the space.

Muffliato charms are places near each door for maximum privacy. 

The room will produce anything (with the exception of food per Gamp’s Law of Elemental Transfiguration) to fit the student’s needs such as pillows, candles, altars, statues etc.

It will close off access to anyone who would vandalize or destroy any religious space.

Hogwarts Founder Headcanons #001

The portraits of the four founders were made when the school was started. There was a charm placed on the paintings so the founder portraits would age with them as long as they were all together. 

The ages that the students see today are how old they were when Salazar left the school.

Godric and Salazar’s portraits were moved the furthest from one another after that time.

The only day where they are seen together in one portrait (when they chose to move) is not on the Founding Day of the School, but the day that they all met as friends.
