the Inverted cross

What is the meaning of the upside-down (inverted) cross?  

Traditionally, turning a symbol upside down does simply invert its meaning. From this comes the idea of inverting a cross as a way of deliberately inflicting distress on it.  So to invert, trample, burn, or otherwise desecrate a cross is a way of wishing destruction on what it represents. The conveyed meaning is: “I am for nothing this cross represents. I am against everything this cross represents. I stand against everything this cross is for, and for everything it is against.” As an act of blasphemy, inverting or misusing the Christian Cross is an act of denial and rebellion— an act of re-taking stolen power. Satanism is not simply an inversion of Christianity. Satan refuses to kowtow to god,  Satan rejects authority of god. Satan rejects power of cross and his salvation, showing its worthlessness and inefficiency. Satan despises and mocks Jesus’ works on the cross.
