- He liked going outside. After a few incidents involving his hair and stray branches, he was placed under the watch of a nanny at all times.
- He used to be a very emotional and outspoken child. He learned to control his attitude and behavior when he was young.
- Being called a child irritated him, especially as he reached his teenage years.
- He spent so much time climbing things that his nails were always short. If he was kept inside for too long, his nails would grow out and he’d have to scratch them on the floor to file them back down.
- For a very long time, he wanted to be just like his father. After Izayoi became pregnant, he decided that he didn’t have to be exactly the same.
- He once brought ten ducklings home. They had no mother and he made the mistake of feeding them. He kept one, but the others ended up missing.
- Despite being more of a dog person (*insert laugh track here*) he always admired the sleek gracefulness of cats. Also, the little “mrrp” sounds they made were really cute.
- Things started going downhill after the double digits hit.
- He never realized that he might been gay until a girl kissed him when he was 12 and, rather than feeling happy or excited, he felt a strange sense of displacement. He never told anyone about the experience, in the hopes that the feeling was just his nerves.
- Much like humans, he went through a “puberty” phase, except he simply shoved down his hormones and bottled every single emotion up.
- His mother secretly hoped that he would start looking at girls the way he looked at boys. It never happened.
- His first “real” kiss (initiated from both sides) was with the son of a visiting warlord. They were curious, but not that interested in each other. They remained good friends for a while and then lost touch.
- He went through a phase where every boy just seemed really, really hot. Even imps, surprisingly. He became thankful that he abandoned that phase after meeting Jaken.
- The subject of Sesshomaru’s sexuality was never brought up. Tōga was surprised when he heard his son say that he didn’t plan on having children.
- He became a skilled swordsman and strategist in his teenage years. Although he was never allowed to join his father in battle or participate in any way, he would secretly add notes to plans and hope that the generals would find them.
- He became more quiet and even less outspoken, but began adopting a colder attitude, especially towards humans.
- He had one or two friends. He spent more time studying than he did with them.
- Not much of a blusher, but would turn a little pink if a cute boy touched his face.
- Started using words like “blasphemous” and “absurd” when he was six. It annoyed the shit out of his mother.
- He spent a great part of his childhood being homeschooled by his mother. He got a private tutor when he turned 10, and subsequently went through 10 more after each and every one complained about him.
- Developed several mini-crushes on several boys. Had one or two severe crushes. Extremely embarrassing.
- The first birthday his father attended was his 13th.
