“Exactly what I said,” he crossed his arms across his chest. “Fine, I’ll play along. What do you wanna know?”
“Excuse me. Do you think I could ask you a few questions regarding a case I’m working on? You aren’t in trouble or anything, but maybe you could help me out.”

Omg I still can’t believe he did this I’m literally still in awe. At his words, her stomach immediately drops. “What?” She asked, subtly moving away from him. “Did you just propose?”
I'm great I know you're welcome. His dumb smile returns before nodding. "Yeah, I guess I did." Looks at her again and shrugs a shoulder. "I know we're messy. We haven't always been the best for each other. But it's you, Aurora. It's always been you."
A moment where they’re actually happy what’s going on? Is honestly probably getting emotional ok bc why is he being so kind. “It’s not like her dad is awful looking.”

Smiles because he smiles and he has the best smile. “Yeah. I found out the other day– It was supposed to be a surprise, but– I kind of suck at those.”
Smiles even bigger bc look this is a moment ok. Walks over to her and looks at her before placing his hand on her stomach. "She's going to be the prettiest girl in the world. Especially if she looks half as beautiful as her mom."
Scratches the back of his head. “Yeah.” Keeps quiet for a while before letting out a sigh and looking over at her. “I want to help. I want to be there for you. —For both of you.” Lowers his gaze down to the floor bc nervous okay. “If you’ll let me.”
Watches him carefully, her face softening at his words. “You– You want to be apart of her life?”
Smiles like a complete idiot. "It's...it's a girl?"
Nods her head. “I mean, yeah, I get you. But you know, you can just talk. It doesn’t have to make sense or be the right thing to say. I think communicating at all is good.”
