Bad News Brigade

Settie:

The Scorkapede are content for the most part but I was told I cant take them down to the planet for their 'walks' due to some 'situation'.

Uh oh..

I hope they don't get too restless, they have so many feet.

I take a mandatory shift watching the comms and try not to fall asleep.

It felt so weird not to have manga at quiet times like this..

*manga needs intensify as deep thoughts are moving around in head*

I hear the speech of Prince Dez coming in.

Huh...

I move my ear closer to the speaker. He talked 'hybrid'-ish almost. How strange...

I report this in and not before I'm done another message from Kaylo about a GOLD MAN.

"GOLDMAN!!"

*fanboys excitedly*

(Billis): "...he's coming here for me and my blood..its the cuuure.." He says something weird and Doxie looks at him funny.

Left in Total Failure

Seti:

I snort trying to wipe off yellow goo from the scorkpeedes.

I sneeze and look around, hoping no one heard that thinking I was sick and weak again.

*sighs*

It gives me goopy hugs and then I sense Mom's worry and hear Peek say THIS IS IT.

Uh oh..

I take a deep breath, I saw some of Dr. Ra's plans from the 'war meeting' they didnt seem very ...strong..

Maybe we can do this.

(Perry): "Your mother is on the planet with her father, we must recall them at once to the ships."

Delay, Distraction and Disaster

Settie:

Dad comes back and tells me we're going to go now. I should prepare for the worst. Great.

"Y..yeah and what can I do to help."

(Perry): "Stay away from the windows..lets see if theres anything useful here to help..." I dig around and find some shield plating meant for Dregs costume. I bring that over me as I curl up on the ground away from the windows.

*shaking trying not to think the WORST ship shoot out case crazy sucideal move he was going to try*

The car drives to the security gate.

(Gate Hybrid): "Enjoy the park? Where are you heading home too?"

(Perry): "Teyorin.."

(Gate Hybrid): "We're only allowed to dial for registered subjects of that planet. Secret order and all."

(Perry): "Really? I wonder what's happening. Here you go."

He must be mind messing him, I sense other hybrids waiting for an ok getting restless they are considering somethings wrong, that its taking too long.

(Gate Hybrid): "Ok Dr. Ra, go on ahead."

Dad rolls down the window and the car rolls though. It was a space gate. SO many ships around. They try to hail.

(Hybrid): "Dr. Ra is early?. Lab is THIS way."

I felt a bump and jolt as he ran into something, he wasnt following whatever they wanted him to go. I hear metal creek as the big golden statute is hit off and ends up flying into a dart.

I grow more worried, and NOT seeing makes it worst. I sit up to look and then duck as I see lasers firing.

Something hits us and the shit bounces it but it still knocks him off the place he was heading and a near spin.

(Perry): "HEY I'm in the car, I don't need them chasing me and you trying to kill me."

(Bain One): "Sorry sir, didn't think you were in the car..." I hear more explosions and see more of our ships.

A hive bursts into flames as a ship morphs and destroys a row of darts trying to escape.

I look back at the chaos freaking out we were so close to THAT.The car kept beeping emergency lines and alarms from damage till it flies into a large pyramid.

Vacation Over

Settie:

Dr. Ra gave me some work to do but I slack off eating more glorious buttery chocolate covered popcorn watching the latest entertainment on holo-screen.

He has to go away for long periods but when he comes back its been nothing but FUN and excitement. Taking me places, and buying me food, bringing back outrageously flavored food. I wasnt done with the popcorn and open a bag of chili flavored chips just to try it.

*nom nom mouthing 'boo' and 'yaaah' along with everyone else when the winning girl is shown and the loosing girl is shown*

****Doesn't even recognize Jolene and Jen since I'm so hyped up on TV, junk food and sweets****

(Ra): "I'm back!"

I quickly try to pretend I finished the assessment work on the table or at least did one page of it.

I mess up the desk expecting to be screamed at , but he still doesn't. He was acting SO weird. Since when does he give me a hug and not scream at me, or be annoyed by me.

VERY weird vibes, I dont understand why he would miss me but I was too hyped up on everything to care.

He shows me some new videogame with a headset and I have to try REALLY HARD not to get suckered in but you know talk to him about stuff, thats why I came here after all.

"Uh..I didnt do the work.." I point out wondering if that would change his mood.

(Ra): "What you didn't? I was gone hours...."

He looks like he was going to finely complain like his old grumpy self but he blew it off.

(Ra): "Well..thats ok...you're still..coping with being back and all.."

Is he a clone?

"Right I, gotta go back too..whenever... you know..he finds me..I just really wanted to talk to you about.."

He already said Michael wasnt my father. So much didnt make sense though.

(Ra): "Oh well..er.. you want to go back?"

"I..well.."

I eat another chip trying not to feel guilty. It was such a spur of the moment to come at all.

"They said you made me weak, took away my powers can you undo it? Then I'd have a better time..."

Of not disappointing everyone...

(Ra): "I..I cant."

"Oh come on, Dr Ra when cant do something??" I tease him nervously.

(Ra): "Well some other kid I used it on...it..didn't..work well and..it killed someone..."

I look at him alarmed, so I'm weak forever?

(Ra): "Sorry, I did that to you...and ..everyone really. Uh I'm going to go use this now...*shakes video came headpiece in air* If you want to join me when you know ..you finish the work.."

He leaves and I tilt my head.

Well that sounded more like him...

Setti:

I hack my mhyspace account back! I wonder who deleted it? BILLY!?

A poll pops up when I turn it on and it looks like I cant get out of it so I vote Dr. Ra of course since he is obviously best minion. I even see Mom's brother on the list that Soren guy they want to 'rescue' he seems to be doing well if hes on the poll....hes pretty high up too.

I dont think he needs 'rescue'.

I felt bad though about Mom.. she was really nice to me but lately...I dont know anymore why was 'Perry' marked as my father on mhy space. Whats going on? ONLY Dr Ra can answer this since he 'supposedly' kidnapped me and all.

I send him a few freak out comments before getting into video chat. He NEVER takes my video chats so it was weird he picked up at all! I was so used to trying to get ahold of him and him never responding cause he's busy and all protecting the Kingdom.

BUT HES REALLY GOING TO SAVE ME.

*inner squeal but TRIES to appear manly and ok with staying in this scary place for however long it takes for Dr. Ra to find me*

I browse EVERYTHING I missed for hours and chew on survival beef (well I hope its beef) jerky as I wait.

I take out my paper crown that I took with me, since its the only thing I could keep being paper....

She was dead..or missing I guess.. the King thought she was dead because he encased her hairbrush for future cloning.

It wouldn't be the same though...

It was nice to see Julian was ok now. He was getting treatment.

Looking at the screen makes my eyes feel tired though, I haven't been around a computer in a long time.

I fall asleep listening to M-Tv debates on whose Princess Nala's husband...I missed ALOT.

The next day Ra learned about the cameras at Deathtrap - no one was allowed to gate there so the rebels thought it was 'safe'. It was under watch and getting Setti out would be difficult. Ra has to cause a major disturbance to get to that planet. He gets on the silk shipment cargo acting like he was interviewing the workers there for possible spies who might be posing as shippers yet smuggling rebels out. While there he in secrets damages the ships engine and wing that it dives down into Deathtrap. He even goes so far as to Hologram masked rebels and a dart flying away from the scene. Ra chases after it in the suit then comes back to help steer the ship down and not crash in a fire blaze. The hybrid and cargo are all dislocated and scattered on the planet - LOTS for the cameras to pick up. Spiders are drawn to the FLESH and flames of the crash, CHAOS!

I wake up to something ponding on the big steel door and yawn.

I turn off mhy space to look at whats going on outside... OHHHHHH

I rush over and try to open the door to make it easier on Dr Ra to get in.

"You came!" I pause wondering if he was only being nice to me cause he was upset about his 'dead wife'.

"I'm sorry about Na-"

(Dr. Ra): "NO time! Here pour this over yourself and pretend a spider got ya." Before I can HUG him he squirts me with red oooze from a blood bag.

"Ahhh!" I yelp real tears cause it got in my eyes and he yanks me out among real bleeding hybrid trying to escape the spiders.

Settie hypervenlates over Mhyspace news too busy to notice people came.

Ignus Fatuus

Settie:

Grandpa takes center stage yet again as everyone is worried about him sneaking aboard. I hit the transporter button and get beamed in along with cargo.

Yesssss!

I'm not sure how many hours pass before Zip hits a button and lets me out with a numerous supply of amo and other weopendray.

(Zip): "Awe damn. How did you get in there??"

I look around edgerly to know where I was but it looked like dark dingy cave and so NOT kingdom splendor.

Nooooooooo!

(Perry): "Settie! WHAT were you thinking! You could have blown this whole operation. Did you NOT listen to what we told your grandfather I cant be-"

I tune out his verbalization hearing terrible screaming outside.

"Wh..ere are we?"

Wow I did NOT think this though...

(Perry): "This is my homeworld..right now its reduced to a few shipments of silk so its easy to manage sneaking around..."

"Silk.."

Like Peek but...

I had a strange feeling about this place.

(Perry): "Everyone mutated into radioactive feral like cannibals...its a dead world. My bunker is still there undetected though.."

"Oh lovely.."

(Perry): "YOU will stay there till I can come back and get you."

"What..no!"

(Zip): "Awe come on Perry we can pretend to be two loving fathers taking our kid to the haunted hive! Great cover!" He calls back as he gathers the cargo to restock whatever bunker they had here.

(Perry): "Zip...you are ridiculous! Hes just another mind Michael can look though.."

"I dont think I should say here..what if those things.."

I see something furry scratching as a long mutant claw spider leg sticks though trying to reach us.

"AHHH!"

(Zip): "He's scared and he didn't even see the face..they are so ugly."

I shutter not wanting to see their faces. I was SO close.

(Perry): "Dont leave and you'll be fine..dont even get out if you here a hive coming..they will NOT help you..you're just going to end up in some Tulco experiment cargo along with the spiders."

Maybe they'd help me...

(Zip): 'Just lock him in, I dont trust that look."

I flinch, was my poker face THAT bad.

(Perry): "Ugh Settie..you we're ..improving weren't you? Lor'Ra will be SO disappointed."

"It seems I disappointed her from day one so.."

I pout. She thought about Michael when she looked at me so CLEARLY Im his SON!

(Perry): "No promises I'll be back tonight for you..we'll see how it goes. Goodluck."

"Yeah...see you..uh ..sorry."

I sigh at the locked door and look at the computer near by.

.....Maybe....this wont be a bust after all.

I smile a little happy I guess for a real 'mom' experience. That was nice. Alot nicer then 'dad' experience.

Mom asks me if I want to see the wedding.

"Wedding?"

I dont know what kind of weirdo thing they do. I dont want to watch people 'mating' outside with weird Bain One Chanting.

"No I'm ok. I'll stay and help clean up."

I start right away not wanting to go ;)

This is so weird, cooking with a mom.

Not the typical clone experience.

I get the dough ready and listen as she talks about toppings.

"Cheese?" I say, not sure they even put CHEESE on pizza here. Maybe its all veggies..

I nod at her instruction to help with the dough.

I rub my hands together trying to warm up once we get inside.

My nose felt cleared up from the medicine so I was able to smell all the cooking. SO much candy, I guess they have to home make it since they think everything has GMOs in it. I bet it doesn't taste as good either.

I pass a bowl of scorpions and try not to make a face.

OR should I be just glad they eat bugs and not ..hybrids..

Mom asks me what kind of good do I like. I try not to bump into something and spill it taken by surprise.

A TEST

I wonder what big strong solider Bain Ones like to eat, thats probably the right answer. Probably fruit, thats what Peek picked for breakfast.

"Uh I like Pizza... hamburgers...chips..cheese sauce.." *rambles a bunch of crappy foods*

I breathe out on the hot cider and notice the gift pile near two empty thrones.

This was like a 'evil' King's Day apparently. I's probably King's day an they just slapped Bane's name on it!

It felt WRONG there was no wraith heads, cosplay or green hamburgers anywhere! These people can't even get the fundamentals of King's Day right. It was so weird.

I see Billy was taking part, he was shirtless - not a good idea with it snowing now - sliding off a greased pole and getting stepped on by much more tougher Bain One kids.

Ow. That's all I need to do next, break a bone.

With the snow all the games seemed dangerous and harder now.

The red dunk tank froze up so some fire powered Bain One jumps in heating it up to boiling and it seemed just fine at that temperature. Everyone was so OP man.

The triplets and Doxie go back to weakly throwing red balls, trying to hit the target that dunks him. The wind seemed to much for the triplets and they leave to get coats ;) DETERMED to come back and take part in the FUN.

"Hey, thanks Mom." I fake a smile when she returns with the medicine. At least she cared, Dad was so done with me.

"D..do you need help with dinner or ..something?" I ask trying to be more helpful in some way.

I was too scared to pet her and just freeze up.

(Perry): "Hmm what do you think Lor'Ra should we get a storm caster to make it snow or is this enough?" He askswith a look at the cloudy sky.

Setti:

I was relived to see Billy wasnt eaten or anything by these SCARY scary monster aliens. He seemed so relaxed among them, like he REALLY thought they we're protecting him.

Peek humors that thought.

(Billy): "Oh yeah this is nice. Thanks." He looks around awkwardly for a moment. "I wasnt completely honest with you..."

"Yeah?" I look at him worried something he was going to say might be ..taken the wrong way by the Bain people. They we're so tough and dramatic and liked to blow up things and all, right?

(Billy): "I'm not the only one who needs protection, someone else was smuggled out with me....theres a Wilbeck girl. Her dad was..killed by the Infected Terror too..shes still in the park. I thought I'd throw myself to you guys first in case you ate me but.uh..can you save her too?"

"P..eek can we vist Billy again today?" I ask him timidly a bit nervous I was interrupting important Bain One work or something sciencey he was doing. The scary men will be mean to me if I go alone.
