Is there such thing as too many Red Sox game in a summer? Because I am getting a bit Fenway’d out.
“Maybe it’s different when you’re actually in the stadium but watching on the TV? No such thing as too much.”
the-littlest-cadet:
“Seriously? There’s really no beer? What a fucking joke…”
“Yeah, you’re not the first one to say that tonight.”
“We’re not out of anything else, so you can get whatever else is on the menu.”
i--belong:
Nadia bit her lip, she had no idea others had had the same idea. “Well, I’m not expecting all the answers, just a few if I’m lucky?”
“I’ll tell you what I’ve told the others. Lots of people pass through here. Faces blend together, so do confessions. No one’s said shit about killing Greer Donnelley, no one’s said shit about killing Billy Sullivan. The usual rumors pass through, but nothing groundbreaking. Now are you going to order anything?”
@i--belong
“You vigilante’s or whatever you want to be called now are just lining out the door expecting me to have all the answers, aren’t you?”
blake-callaway:
Blake gave her a polite smile, before flipping open her notebook. “Any people come by who do work like the Donnelley’s? Or anyone talking about someone who does that kind of work?”
Greer had been a bit of a sore topic for Kitty for some time. Outside of their little... fling, she’d considered Greer to be a friend. “Most people’ve been keeping a low profile since Greer kicked the bucket,” she answered, “Most chatter’s about how no one’s stepped up to the plate and replaced them.”
“So, what, are you tryin’ to launch some investigation? Pretty ambitious for a kid.”
bossasslynch:
“Oh, there’s no date if it isn’t fancy. Place has to at least be twenty bucks a plate if not more. Otherwise it’s not really worth it.”
“Of course, I shouldn’t have expected anything less,” she laughed. “Just hope they aren’t too desperate for a second date. Those are never worth a free meal.”
blake-callaway:
“Sounds nice. Could I ask you some questions about the stuff you’ve heard?”
“Whatever kid, shoot,” she figured she’d humor her given there wasn’t really much else to do at the moment, business was unusually slow for a Thursday afternoon.
bossasslynch:
I have to admit a free meal is worth the horrible date that comes with.
Never worth the horrible sex, though.
“You’re telling me,” Kitty looked over at Briana, “Tell me they took you to a fancy place at least.”
blake-callaway:
“I thought so,” Blake replied with a shrug. “You’re known for getting a lot of gossip, info, are you not?”
“I suppose so. Some people talk a lot when they’re drunk.”
siobhan-cassidy:
“So, what I’m hearing is you have an ulterior motive for giving me booze.”
“What, me? I’d never do that.”
“So are you up for it?”
siobhan-cassidy:
“Have I ever told you that I love you, Kitty?”
Siobhan grabbed the cider and took a grateful sip. “I’m not fucking dumb. Briana won’t know.”
“Hm, I think I recall you saying you loved me last time you got really drunk.”
“Good. She’d have my head. So, any plans tonight?”
siobhan-cassidy:
“So is that a yes? Or should I bother another person to buy me booze?”
She rolled her eyes, “Sure, just hold on,” she moved away from the bar to get the drink.
“Here, no more after this though, and don’t let Briana find out.”
“How much do you want?” he murmured. “I can give you cash and a little something, you know, extra.”
“Depends on what you’re ordering.”
blake-callaway:
“I’d hope you wouldn’t give me a drink even if it wasn’t. I actually wanted to speak to you, if you wouldn’t mind.”
She looked down at the kid, “Sorry, thought you were someone else,” she muttered the apology. “I’ll humor you, what is it?”
“I’ll humor you, what is it?”
siobhan-cassidy:
“Uh…” Siobhan licked her lips. “Does an Angry Orchard count as alcohol?”
“Okay, now you’re pushing it.”
“Though, I might be able to sneak something out just for you.”
siobhan-cassidy:
“Do beer-battered onion rings count?”
“I think I can make that work,” she smiled. “Any non alcoholic drinks you want?”
richard-kelley:
“Come on love. One little exception. Please?”
“Listen love, I don’t make exceptions.”
“I mean, unless there’s some extra cash involved?” she said in a lowered voice.
