Grieving Period -OPEN-
cdward-tonksâ:
Ted wasnât sure how he drew the short straw to run Prefect rounds during lunch. Sure, he had plenty of time to eat both before and after⌠but still, he hated having to go off and check around the castle during mealtimes. Meals were a time to be social. A time to relax. And now? He was missing out on that chance during a week when he sorely needed it. As he roamed the corridors, he began humming a song thatâd been stuck in his head, gently pushing open doors as he passed them. For the most part, they were empty. That was, until he came to the potions classroom. As Ted pushed open the door, someone snapped at him, catching him off guard. He entered the room, arms crossed over his chest. âFirst of all, no, I canât piss off. Secondly, thatâs no way to talk to anybody, no matter what you have going on. Iâm going to give you a choice. Do you want to talk about it here, with me, or would you rather go back down to the Great Hall?â
Severus sighed heavily as he recognized the sound of Ted Tonkâs voice. It would be just his luck that it was a prefect that had stormed in on him. For practical reasons, Severus knew that he wasnât supposed to eat in class rooms but he couldnât think of anywhere else to mull over his existential crisis. And the potions room was the only one that he truly felt home anymore.Â
âI donât want to talk about it at all. Thatâs why Iâm hiding out here.â The boy blinked in irritation, turning around and leaning against the table in a nonchalant way. âThird option; you can take some house points from me and leave me alone.â
