Lessons Learned → Severus and Sirius
Who: Severus Snape, Sirius Black
Where: Quidditch Pitch
When: Much after dark, September 5
Notes: yeh
Severus felt his face grow hot with anger. Between every other thing that happened within the past 3 or so days, the last thing he really wanted was for Sirius Black, of all people, to be giving him shit. Sure, the occasional argument was welcome-- things would get very boring otherwise-- but tonight was certainly not the night for petty comments. It made him mad enough to feel confident to fight. After all, Sirius was the type to be pretty dependent on his wand. In the vein, Severus grabbed his wand off of his desk and shoved in in his pants pocket. There were no intentions to use it, but if the supposedly noble Gryffindor decided to play dirty, he wanted to be prepared.
Severus ducked his head out his dorm window to get a breath of air. None of the other Slytherin boys were there, which struck him as odd. He briefly wondered if there was something going on that they had chosen to leave him out of. He had been stupid to think they would have no idea that he had been sympathetic to Lily in the previous weeks. They were almost certainly leaving him out of plans intentionally. The cool air hit him in the face, and he felt a sudden jolt of excitement. It had been a long time since he had even bothered to fight anybody.
Making his way down the stairs, he breezed through the Common Room. The few people doing homework by the fire looked at him oddly, but he ignored it. The Gryffindor Common Room was closer to the back doors, and there was a good chance Sirius would be out there before him. He walked through the halls, too angry to worry about his footsteps. His feet slapped flat against the stone hallways, echoing through the school. It increased the chances of getting caught out of bed, but he could always say he was doing rounds. Nobody would know different.
As he made it outside, he took long strides down the hill to the Quidditch Pitch. By the looks of it, nobody was there yet. It put him at a bit of a disadvantage. Sirius could sneak up at any moment. Because of this, Severus waited near the edge of the area, in the shadows created by the stadium seats.
