No one marched into their place at random and asked for such advice on wands. Not that it was their business in particular what he was up to, but they found themselves to be growing ever the curiouser about it. After all, they had not been what would have been considered the top student whilst at Hogwarts, always managing to get into their own bout of trouble. âIt can do very little, I would think; unless you alter the ingredients with the wand before putting them into the potion beforehand. Once the potion takes hold, then you must alter through potions and not with the wand.â They leaned back in the chair and nonchalantly looked at the pencil cup. âPerhaps it would be simpler if you would show me what youâre wanting.â
Albus stared at Katherine, trying to decide whether or not heâd get more help if he told them straight out what he was doing. Probably. It seemed like they were willing to help, and hadnât struck him as the type to run and tell someone. Plus, they were both on the same side, werenât they? Deciding in a split second, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a well worn piece of parchment, with an altered recipe for a wit-sharpening potion. âIâm trying to turn the wit-sharpening potion into a potion thatâll help whoeverâs drinking it to see solutions to problems in front of them, tactical advantages, weaknesses, the like.â He wasnât overly confident heâd be able to do it, but he wasnât giving up any time soon. With as much of his family involved in the resistance as there was, he wanted to do whatever he could to make sure they didnât get hurt.
