The Archive aims to be an ultimate repository of YouTube uploads by brony musician SoGreatandPowerful (aka David). Am I crazy or did the SGAP YouTube channel come back to life? I’m not sure when it was originally created, but this one says it was created April 16, 2012. Very interesting. 🤔 looks like they’re new art thumbnails Ihaven’t seen before either. 
This YouTube channel, if you look closely, is named “sogreatandpowerfuI” with a capital letter I (eye) instead of an l (ell). The uploads are all automated, they’re mirrored across a number of sites including Spotify. Somebody out there, who is not SGaP, is running this to make a quick buck. It’s pretty skeevy, and I won’t be trusting any comments its owner posts or new music that might be uploaded.
Today marks the one year anniversary of the release of Rarity. Though I recognize its shortcomings, it’s still one of the works I’m most proud of. Reminiscing about it recently, I decided to compile all of the works in progress that I could find of the song, from the first demo that set it in motion, and write down a lil commentary about each stage of its construction, and package it all up. It definitely isn't! I would advise to not listen to those tracks on Spotify, because whoever is claiming the streaming royalties it's certainly not SGaP

Let me just catch my breath for a bit. I can’t breathe too well due to all this anticipation.
Work on this song began in late February, 2012. SGaP and I worked very hard on it, and pushed for it to be finished around the time Tsyolin’s, Facexplodie’s and Psych Brony’s collabs were released. Real life struck around May, and we were unable to, so we were left with an almost finished song, all 7 minutes of it. By the time we were both able to work with each other again, SGaP was in the middle of his S2 streak, and I was preoccupied with running Sori5Twerk and building antennas, so the song remained in the backburner for the longest time. We didn’t really feel the drive to add any more to it, but I still thought it’d be a shame to let this song sit around, so after Sori52 was done I asked SGaP to let me polish what we’d done thus far and release it. Fourteen months later after setting out to make a song, we’re finally seeing it to an end today.
I don’t think I’ve ever participated in a collab that feels like a collab as much as this one. Our contributions completely blend into each other. There was no division of labour, we both contributed significant amounts to everything, which is probably why it turned out long and sparse.
Crossing paths with SGaP has been one of the most significant things to happen to me in the past couple of years. I feel fortunate to be able to call him a friend, and share so much with him. Working with him is completely unreal, and definitely something that influenced all of my productions since then. Interacting with him is something that still influences my daily life. Figuring out the kinks and coordinating our efforts was a formidable challenge in and of itself, and it’s ultimately rewarding. I’ve learned so much from this, and I can’t thank him enough for so many late night discussions, all the laughs, and why not, all the bickering too. It’s all priceless.
A lot happened during those 14 months, both musically and in my life. This song was a relative constant throughout this, so its release is a momentous event for me. It feels like finishing a scrapbook and looking through it after working on it. I really hope people will find something to enjoy here.
So thanks SGaP, for giving me the chance to work with you and get close to you. You still stink of ravioli tho, so imma not get too close thank you very much. :J

Not a literal trans but what I meant to say. The last line could be better translated as "And loving succumbed before the desire to fly", but I really liked the play on words that happens in Spanish, where querer can mean both loving and wanting (wanting to fly)

There was a fanmade music video for Space Pony that I watched years ago that featured things like time lapses of stars and shots from the shows the spoken lines are sampled from. It was a beautiful video but I can't seem to find it anymore. Do you know anything about it?
Yes! I believe the video you’re talking about is sgap : space pony (fan video), which was created by Gundere around 2014. Unfortunately, they made the video private some time between October 2017 and February 2018
