After a long weekend of deciphering and looking in every possible place this year's red wolf could be hidden, the students at Stonegate High are victorious once again. A clever Tammy Asciutto and Caden Mitchell waltzed into Railroad Street Steak House, made a bee-line to the pool tables, where Tammy ducked under table number two and earned them first place!
It wasn't long after, that two other teams came in with the same destination in mind: Sam and Renier, as well as Leah and Chloe! Congratulations to all three teams, may you enjoy your prizes! We're sure last year's teams would've been proud.
PRIZES
1st Place: Tamera Asciutto and Caden Mitchell
(Two $50 gift certificates to the Rusticci's)
2nd Place: Sam Fenske and Renier Monroe
(Two $10 gift cards to Starbucks)
3rd Place: Leah Keeler and Chloe Lewis
(The stuffed red wolf!)
Clue “answers” below.
Clue 1:
2. 1. 3. 6. 4. 5. 8. 7.
Ans: The numbers on the solid colored balls in a game of pool
Clue 2:
12. 11. 13. 10. 14. 15. 9.
Ans: The numbers on the striped balls in a game of pool
Clue 3:
this picture
Ans: Illustration of the shapes involved. Sphere for the balls, triangle for the rack, and rectangle for the table--with a number two at the bottom left to specify the table number.
Ans: The eight is in the center every time, like the eight-ball should be when setting up the game.
Clue 5:
You've gotten some numbers, now come letters for the rest. There's two sets of seven, here are the vowels, you fill in the rest:
7 _ o _ i _
7 _ _ _ i _ e _
Ans: 7 solid, 7 striped - in pool there are seven solid colored (not including the eight or the cue), and seven striped balls
Clue 6:
There may be six pockets, but don't be deceived, always remember to check underneath.
Ans: The holes of a pool table are called pockets, there are six of these, but the red wolf isn't in any--it's underneath.
Bonus Clue:
this picture
Ans: Railroad Street is where the Railroad Street Steak House is located.
Bonus Clue:
Not 7, 5, 3, nor 1, will help you end this game of fun. But fear not my friend, your red wolf is hiding below a prime number less than 10!
Ans: The table you should be searching beneath is the only prime number left -- table number two!
The crowd was massive at this year's showcase! Fans lined the barricades to see Orderly Danger and lots of performers graced our stage with original songs and talented covers! Thank you all who attended! Without further ado, the raffle winner, two awesome tickets to see Echosmith, go to...Marcus Glass! Congratulations, Marcus! Come claim your prize!
What is a king without his queen? It should come as no surprise to the Stonegate students that our Winterfest Snowflake Queen is none other than our king's girlfriend, Isla Ramsey! Congratulations!
First you crowned him your Homecoming King, then you cheered him on front and center at the Student Showcase, now we're excited to call him your 2015 Snowflake King! Congratulations Spike Harold!
With so many great entries this year, the judges had a hard time narrowing down the competition, and the audience applause was so close we nearly had a tie! In the end, the prize went to the lovely Harley Stryker, dressed in a stunning Ms. Marvel costume!
Congratulations, Harley! Enjoy your gift basket and your new iPad mini! Just remember to keep those sparking fingers away from the electronics!
Funded by the PTA and donations from other charitable businesses around town, a Winter Semi-Formal dance is held at Stonegate High School’s gymnasium between the hours of 7pm and midnight.
With a hired DJ and Fire & Ice-themed decorations (streamers, balloons, confetti, lights, and snowflakes), students will party in a winter wonderland mixed with the rush of the flame.
Refreshments (punch, cookies, and a donated sheet cake) are included with the price of admission. A ballot box is set up just inside so students can vote for their Snowflake King & Queen.

Day two of Winterfest is always a student favorite. With a long standing tradition of amazing performances by local talent, it's hard to see why it wouldn’t be. The showcase gives the students of Stonegate High a chance to show their skills!
Evening performances by the advanced choir and jazz band are sure to delight, and will be followed by a high-energy rock show! Opening with Sudden Fish and the Hectic Glow, Orderly Danger will close out the Showcase with songs off their upcoming EP!
To celebrate Roseboro's musical talent, all residents in attendance will be entered in a raffle for 2 tickets to see Echosmith at the Visullte Theater in February, courtesy of Greenstreet Records!

Shown on the side of Town Hall, in the dead center of town, the family movie is always a large draw, much more than the summer classic movie series shown in the same space. There is an expanse of grass that is usually a park (a place for people to play chess in or eat their lunch), but for Winterfest, it is transformed. Families, couples, and groups dot the grass, scrambling to find a free space while the chairs in the back are also normally filled to capacity. Some even park within eyesight of the wall to watch from car roofs or watch from the roofs of neighboring buildings.
Local restaurants serve as vendors, having stalls that are set along the back of the “venue” where the streets are blocked off selling everything from pizza to candy, popcorn to coffee. It is a great time to be had, a chance for families to come together and step out from behind laptops and in front of televisions for a night of togetherness.
The Community Council of Roseboro is pleased and excited to announce that this year’s Winterfest movie will be Happy Feet, and the event will start promptly at 8:30pm!
OOC INFORMATION
To celebrate Winterfest Move Night, write a para using one of the following prompts as inspiration. You can do a self-para, a partner para, or even a group para. Be creative!
PROMPT 1:
Describe either the best or worst movie experience your character has ever had. Where were they? What movie was it? Were they scared? Happy? Did they drop their popcorn? Did they get their first kiss or more?
PROMPT 2:
Tell us about the one thing your character loves that their parents or friends are not too fond of. Would they ever consider giving it up? Has anyone confronted them about it? Why do they love that thing so much?
Participation is optional, but if you choose to write a para, tag it with #gatemovie
If you choose not to participate in the para prompt activity, your character can still attend movie night via other gif chats, paras, etc. Tag those posts with #gatemovie too.
Though the ic event takes place at 8:30pm on Saturday night, you may complete and post your para any time between now and the end of Winterfest.
Keep in mind that this is a town-wide, family event and a kids’ movie. There will be families and children around your characters (if they decide to go or participate in any way).
