I still watch way too much TV. I've fallen behind in reading books but I've made up for it with the amount of fanfiction I read. Don't be surprised if I start posting about a completely random show. My blog has no focus other than TV shows (and occasional movies) I'm interested in. Currently obsessing over The Haunting of Bly Manor. Still love Xena: WP, POI, SPOP, and Killing Eve. #oh this is good #cause yeah they never say what they're feeling #and they both know what's going on #seeing the growth not just from the flashback timeline #but also from the mothership #loving the parallels #like how in ncis 9x13 ziva said ray didn't appreciate her #and in present day tony telling ziva he appreciates her cause he wants her to know how he feels #like so many of their arguments in the mothership boil down to 'they're in love but they don't talk about their feelings #so now they can't verbalize why they're doing what they're doing'.#it's literally tony trying his hardest to not say i love you when he was under truth serum #they're grown so much and this is so beautiful #ncis tiva #tiva #tony dinozzo #ziva david

Proposal parallels: Ziva telling Ray to get up vs. Ziva kneeling down to meet Tony.

#i rewatched both proposals for comparison and yeah it's not close #even with me knowing the tiva past proposal isn't a good idea it's still sweet and loving and hopeful #the ray one felt like a desperate attempt to keep a relationship on the rocks going #of course the ep was titled a desperate man #also it felt like ray was dangling a carrot in front of ziva to pressure her into saying yes. the 'now or never'. Offering kids and a house #like yeah these are things she wants but the context in this scene felt so last ditch effort.#almost like he was implying she wouldn't get another chance at these things with anyone else #and bringing up her dad to put her on the defensive was cold #in contrast tony's proposal while not great timing it all heart #he literally says 'no pressure' and just wants to be with her #he doesn't have to justify this spontaneous proposal because she knows how he feels #the simplicity of ziva not wanting to leave and tony not wanting her to leave was enough for him to propose.#them loving each other is why she said yes #said without hesitation or doubt #she kneeled down to join him while she pulled ray up off his knees #i just know these writers and exec producers rewatched a bunch of ncis episodes include a desperate man #it's such a contrast to have her tell ray to get up vs her going down to meet tony #anyways i love tiva and i can't wait for the present day proposal. cause it's gonna happen #tiva #ncis tiva #ncis
