Why your subconscious is a piece of shit

You're all fine and dandy, and your conscious mind is totally normal. You've gotten past the worst and now you're doing better, you're looking ahead and rarely if ever the past anymore. What they did to you doesn't hurt you anymore, the pain's been dulled to a tap on the shoulder. Life's okay. It will only get better. And then you go to bed, to sleep. And then you start to dream and when you hit REM sleep your subconscious decides to be a dick and bring back all your suppressed feelings. It will make you angry, sad, and frustrated. It will create the scenarios you always wished would happen in reality and have you control the outcome. It will let you scream at the top of your lungs at the people and things that hurt you and you will feel so satisfied...until you wake up. Your subconscious is the demon in you and it will never leave you alone even though you are okay. It makes sure you're not okay.
