Your stomach dropped, you didn’t even realise he was looking at you, more than that— smirking? you were definitely gonna beat his ass later.
“…What?” you ask nervously, wanting to leave already.
Seo jin squints a bit, glancing between you and Wolf,
“…Nothing,” Seo jin mutters, “Its just weird how he was staring at you..”
You scoff immediately, “H-huh? Why would he be staring at me?” you stammer, “He despises girls like me.” you quickly drag your friends back in your classroom.
The whole day, you kept thinking about the smirk.
It was annoying, but no matter how much you tried focusing on class, your mind kept going back to the way wolf looked at you like he saw something funny.
As your mind kept going back to his smirk, you quietly check your phone and send a message,
“hello??? why’d you look at me like thatt?”
wolf you’re gonna get us caught dummy.
While you were unfocused on lessons, Wolf was across the building smoking another cigarette when he suddenly felt his phone vibrate inside his pocket.
princess🩰: hello??? why’d you look at me like thatt?
wolf you’re gonna get us caught dummy.
Wolf quietly scoffs before replying,
“relax princess i was subtle. your detective friend was just annoying.”
princess🩰: dont call her that, and your lackeys noticed too.
princess🩰: whatever, if we get caught its your fault.
He scoffs at your reply before texting back.
“lmaoo love u too princess.”
When you got the reply, you roll your eyes immediately after reading it, “Idiot.” you thought.
Before you could reply, the bell suddenly rang making you quickly lock your phone and sit up straighter in your seat.
After that, the day passed painfully slow, no matter how much you tried paying attention to your friends random conversations, your eyes kept drifting to his smirk and the clock.
Eventually, after what felt like hours, the bell finally rang.
Almost immediately, you packed your things as quickly as possible and fast walked to the exit and headed to the ballet studio, you wanted to get your mind off him so bad.
Not long after, you found yourself inside the familiar studio, the soft music already calming yourself.
You quietly set your bag in your locker, tying the ribbons on your ballet shoes.
While practicing, you felt yourself finally relax after everything.
The next hour passed in a blur, today seemed more calming and fun compared to your past days, was it because of the stress, or how Wolf looked at you? you couldn’t tell.
Outside the studio, Wolf sat lazily on a nearby bench with a blunt in between his hands, far enough so that no one would see him, but close enough to see you.
He wasn’t sure why he was there, actually— he knew exactly why he was there.
Through the large windows, he could see you moving across the floor with the rest of the dancers, you looked so calm and peaceful, your moves being graceful while he stared at you, feeling dirty and some scars on his knuckles.
It was weird, seeing you here felt completely different from seeing you at school.
No perfect uniform, no friends glued to your side, just you.
Wolf sighed slowly, “You’re such a nerd” he muttered to himself, yet he didn’t look away once.
It was weird, he was filthy, always covered in bruises and everyone feared him, but you? you were loved by almost everyone, your soft smile capturing everyone around you, “I’m dirty, what the hell do you even see in me?” he always asked himself.
After an hour, practice finally ended and everyone starts packing up.
You weren’t sure when the feeling started, maybe while fixing your bag? but you had a gut feeling someone was watching you.
The feeling became impossible to ignore, until the point where you glanced towards the large studio windows and immediately your stomach dropped.
Wolf. Leaning against a nearby bench with one of his hands shoved in his pocket while he had a blunt in between his fingers, looking directly at you.
Your eyes widened, what the hell was he doing here? after that little smirk at school, for a second, you felt relieved—
then immediately horrified. What if someone saw him again?
You quickly looked away before anyone noticed and rushed to pack your bag.
When you walked out of the studio, Wolf was still there, waiting for you. Part of you wanted to be annoyed, but you were already smiling before you even reached him.
“What’ya doing here?” you asked while looking up at him,
Wolf shrugged before answering, “Bored.”
You looked at him before speaking, “You’re a really bad liar.”
You rolled your eyes before starting the walk home together,
far enough so that nobody would suspect anything, yet close enough you can actually talk and you wouldn’t feel alone.
You guys walked in silence before you spoke,
“…Don’t think i forgot about you looking at me.” you mumbled,
“Ah shit, thought you forgot.”
“…Dont make it obvious next time,” you mumbled, siding closer to him.
After a few minutes of walking, Wolf suddenly stopped.
Without answering, he reached towards your hair and grabbed your ribbon.
“Hey!” you smacked his hand away “What the hell are you doing?”
Wolf held up your ribbon and grinned, “Pink.”
“Give it back.” You said as you tried to grab the ribbon from his hand
“No.” He held his hand higher
Before you could jump to grab it back, he stuffed it in his pocket with a grin.
“Waah, you look stupid without it.
“You stole it.” you slightly pouted.
“Well, finders keepers.” he laughed.
You spent the rest of the walk threatening him.
After forgetting about the ribbon, you finally made it home.
You turned to him before speaking, “Make it home safe, m’kay?” you said while smiling, Wolf simply hummed in response.
But before walking away, you suddenly tiptoed slightly and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
“Bye, dummy.” you grinned before skipping to your door.
Wolf stood there for a moment, speechless while his ears reddened slightly.
When you got to your room, you immediately plopped on your bed and sighed before burying your face in your pillow, kicking your feet and squealing happily.
When you washed up and sat back in your bed in your pyjamas, you immediately started kicking your feet again, “Oh my gosh” is all you thought while trying to fall asleep.
Wolf on the other hand, when he got to his place he tossed his bag onto the floor before collapsing on his mattress.
Sleep should’ve come easily for him— but it didn’t.
Every time he closed his eyes, he kept thinking about the stupid peck on his cheek, tossing and turning while his ears were still red.
Who knew he was this down bad for you?
Somewhere across the city, you were buried in between your pillows and blankets, cheeks warm as you replayed the moment over and over again.
While Wolf stared at the ceiling for what felt like hours.
Neither of you got much sleep last night.
