   “C’mon now, use that lil’ purple head’a yers,” Dusk continued to tease him, swiftly avoiding Eclipse’s swatting hands. He grinned widely, showing off his sharp teeth and jumped onto his counterpart’s shoulders without warning. With a snicker, he wrapped his arms around Eclipse’s eyes, blinding him momentarily. “An’ stop yer swattin’!”

“Gaah!!” The freckled shade cried out, his swatting around intensifying now that he was blinded. “Getcher hands offa me, Dusk!!”

   “D’aw, it ain’t that hard,” Dusk teased playfully, ruffling Eclipse’s hair as he floated around him aimlessly. “Ya jus’ gotta think harder!”

A presence that was vaguely familiar to Shadow caught the boy’s attention. Looking around, he spotted the angel approaching him and gave a brief wave. “Well, if it isn’t angel boy! It’s been a while, hasn’t it?” He said with a smirk. Even before disappearing, he hadn’t spoken to Pit very often. It was a pleasure to see his old acquaintance doing well.

Prying Dusk off of him, Eclipse snapped back at the taller Shadow. “Shut up!! I ain’t short, ya bastard!” Despite his annoyed behavior, he felt relieved to see a familiar face. After disappearing for so long, it would probably be some time before Eclipse would be used to seeing people again, especially the few that were kind to him.

  “Ha! Please! Ya gotta be one’a the shortest outta all of us!” Dusk cackled, floating up a few inches and circling Eclipse playfully. He stood tall and saluted to Eclipse. “Maybe one day yer gonna break five feet, but until then…”

It was a pleasant surprise (and he was happy that he ran into one of the few shadows shorter than him first) to see that Eclipse was back. “Heh, sure, somethin’ like that.”
