I am going to reblog this to my side blog, since for some reason this blog doesn’t show up but that one does, so I can have a way to get to this blog for updates on the fic.  I want to use my main blog to post my updates for the Pokemon fic and maybe I’ll post drawings on the drawing blog, if I do any for the fic.

Ahhh thank you I love it! The backgrounddddddd. The emotion auugghhh. Agsjdjadjjskqa. I need to get back to this fic. the angst. I both miss and despise the angst thank you I’ll be thinking of all the sad bits of this fic lol.

Is that scarlet and violet dlc worth it? I’m still bitter and disappointed by the sword and shield dlc, and am hesitant to drop more money on another one.

Guess what I finally updated?

Next stop, the place once called home - Chapter 14 - shadow_oblivion - Pocket Monsters | Pokemon - All Media Types [Archive of Our Own]

As an fyi, I want to do my best to get ch 14 of Next stop, the place once called home up sometime in august (fingers crossed it’ll be early august).

It took a lot to rewrite the chapter, but thankfully, I had a written outline, but it still took an effort to get it to a standard I wanted for the fic. But I did it and it’s about. Eh. 45% edited from rough draft.

About 60% edited! I’m happy it’s getting easier to edit the chapter as I go through it.

The next chapter of next stop, the place once called home is in progress and it is an Elesa pov. Currently, I am torn as to where to start the chapter, as I’ve written outlined for it both ways, and I’m just. Staring at it and undecided which way to go in terms of going back and editing it out into a full chapter.

So Question: should Chandelure meet with Elesa and Skyla to lead them to Celestica Tower (with some Elesa and Skyla interaction before the Pokémon shows up) or start the chapter once Emmet and Ingo are brought back from the tower?

I did decide to go with longer Elesa pov.

Unfortunately, I lost the chapter, so I have to redo it and you know, that’s never fun, so it might take a bit longer. Good news is that most of the chapter was written by hand so I mainly have to just type it up again (and add the dialogue).

Fingers crossed I can get it up this month. I’ve missed this fic and want to work on it more often.

Happy RE4 remake day!

Here’s a 16 year old doodle that I’ve been saving that I made after my first play through of the original game (came across it in 2007). It heighlights my exasperation with Ashley, some of the enemies, dead end rooms, and my love of the rocket launcher to cause destruction and mayhem.

When first writing next stop, the place once called home, I had plans for Emmet to fistfight Arceus (or at least try to). Then, I moved on to Emmet having an eventual brawl with Volo (possibly on the table still). Now, with the second part of the fic outline being the way it is, I’ve written in Volo being confronted by Ingo in a more terrifying way than having the shit beat out of him. Like in a sneak up and cornered in a forest kind of way where Volo doesn’t hear Ingo’s approach until he’s right there.

Because hell hath no fury like a protective twin who’s finally remembering more of his past and is fully prepared to put to use everything he’s learned surviving in Hisui to make Volo’s life miserable. Specifically if anything happens to Emmet due to Volo and Giratina’s interference.

In a ‘if my brother doesn’t survive this because of you and that worm dragon, there is nowhere you can run to or even hide where I won’t be able to locate you. Not even the god of this land will save you from being found by me.’ All while being delivered in a voice that Volo has never heard from Ingo before, paired with a very uncharacteristic icy glare beneath the brim of that tattered hat. So being choked while pinned to a tree and verbally threatened, merchant boy has the fear of god put into him by a run-ragged, exhausted and very protective warden (Volo has some self preservation in this case to not taunt/threaten Ingo in return, at least until Volo is freed and safely out of range).

Edit 2: chapter 13 is sitting near 9000 words. Delayed until Friday night or Saturday to be sure it reads well before posting.
