ok non-chinese writers need to stop reusing the same like, five names for their chinese characters because the names you guys come up with are shit. worth noting in particular: while there are definitely people whose first names are one character, it’s like.. suspicious to me that chinese characters by white ppl rarely have disyllabic first names, despite that being like. equally as common. i guess you can’t use anything that sounds more foreign than “ling” or “mei,” or people flip out about how weird and unpronounceable it is
