Shippers tried to say it couldn't be Steph because the dress she wore to Rik's wedding had straps and the cell phone pic looked like the dress was strapless, or very thin straps like what Cait wore...

I know some people are wondering how long they'd been dating at the time of Rik's wedding if they are already kissing and he took her as his date. BUT, remember I told you guys sources told me that Sam and Steph have known each other for many years. They were each living their lives separately, had relationships with other people, and then when the timing was finally right for them to be a couple, it makes sense that they didn't waste any time. Life is precious and short and they both know that. Kind of the stuff that epic love stories are made of...that's why it's ironic that the shippers who say they are all about epic love, have always focused on the wrong things. Anyhooo...

For those saying this may have been as early as January 2025 when Sam posted he went skiing...I don't know, most people use the same snow gear unless they are super frequent skiers. And even if that is when they went, like I said Sam and Steph have known each other for years. I know Steph's second husband died August 2024. So what? Grief is personal and I'm not going to begrudge anyone how they grieve. If it was as early as January 2025, like I said, Steph of all people knows too well how precious and short life is, and maybe she and Sam didn't want to wait longer to be with each other. I don't know that for sure, but I'm not going to judge them. What's important is HOW HAPPY they are. And I'm sure Eoin would want Steph to be happy. Regardless, let's not make assumptions as to when the relationship turned romantic--let's simply focus on the here and now, and the here and now is the happiest Sam I've ever seen. People at Landcon said he was glowing and giddy.

BTW, I reached out to one of my Sam sources and she said she doesn't know if they got engaged or not, but she did CONFIRM that Steph turned 36 on April 24. 100% confirmation. We also know that she has to be a strong person having gone through two of the most difficult experiences anyone can go through: divorce from her first husband (the father of her daughter), and the death of her second husband from cancer. That's a lot to go through by your mid-thirties and it had to give her more wisdom and compassion.

So, haters, when you say negative stuff about this AMAZING woman 👆, you just look foolish and bitter. There's literally nothing bad to say. Steph is incredible and Sam is lucky to be with her. That's why he's not letting her go and has integrated her and her daughter into his life.

Can you imagine the HUGE SMILE on my face when the source sent me this pic?! I just about fell off my chair! The three of them are so dang cute together. And the fact that Sam has completely let this little girl into his life is so heartwarming. TBH, I never thought I'd see the day. But here it is. And Sam and Steph make SUCH a gorgeous couple. I want to leave NO ROOM FOR DOUBT that these pics were taken in Glasgow, Scotland. So, besides the one person who said she saw the 3 of them on Buchanan Street in Glasgow right before Christmas, I also told you guys that my Los Angeles industry Sam source had CONFIRMED that she knew Steph and her daughter were spending Christmas with Sam in Glasgow. And we already knew from Sam himself that he was going to spend Christmas and New Year's in Scotland since he said so in an interview. He even talked about hosting at his house and what he was going to serve.

But here is CONCRETE PROOF that the pic above of the 3 of them was taken in Glasgow. Here is Steph's daughter in front of Citizens Theatre, which is in Glasgow 👇(for the naysayers, I am making sure not to post her face or her name, so shush). And you can verifty that this Citizens Theater IS in Glasgow because the plays that were being performed were The Gift and Beauty and the Beast and you can see the posters for both behind Steph's daughter.

It is SO sweet that Sam is sharing his love of theater with the little girl. Core memories she will cherish forever.

I'm posting this pic because: 1. The haters were cruelly saying Steph is a bad mother because she leaves her daughter to go spend time with Sam. Well, this pic shows that she does what every single mom who has a boyfriend does--she balances time with her boyfriend and time with her child. NORMAL. Yes, Steph spent a few days with Sam in NYC mid-December, but she immediately returned to Ireland to be with her daughter. And as of December 17, she was helping her daughter with her make-up for her school's holiday performance. Such a sweet pic and shows what a doting mother Steph is. 2. By sheer providence, this pic ALSO shows Steph's Line Tattoo AND Celtic Spiral Tattoo! Whoomp, there it is! And her face is attached to her arm this time, hahaha.

Instagram stories are up for 24 hours, so this means Steph posted this on December 14 or December 15 and THAT IS WHEN SAM WAS IN NEW YORK CITY for his book tour and Josh Horowitz event. So, this PROVES Steph WAS IN NYC WITH SAM, just like I said TWO sources told me. 👇 SamCait shippers, do you EVER get tired of being wrong? 🤔 It's been 11 YEARS of me posting accurate info. We all thought Steph was either 35 or 36 years old--my L.A. source confirmed that Steph is 36 years old. So, on her next birthday, April 24, Steph will turn 37. And on his next birthday, April 30, Sam will turn 46. They're 9 years apart. That's a nice age difference, not too much. And both Taurus, definitely very compatible.

Without further ado, I present you the MONEY SHOT of Sam Heughan and his girlfriend, Steph French I promised I'd post. I'm so happy for them! 💘

It's from one of those photo booths, where multiple pics are taken in quick succession. They come out of the machine as a long strip. And you can see that there are 3 sets of multiple pics, one on top of the other, and they're spread out a bit. This is why you can see some pics clearly and others not. It's a cool effect.

I circled the heart emoji because that's Steph's signature thing to do on posts with loved ones in them. For reference, she also added the heart emoji when she posted the silver pendant she made for Sam. 👇

Now, onto details. I told you guys one of the sources who said they had a Sam and Steph pic emailed me, but her emails went to my Spam Folder. So I didn't see them for a whole week! The source took a screenshot of the post on December 15, 2025. Instagram stories are up for 24 hours, so this means Steph posted this on December 14 or December 15 and THAT IS WHEN SAM WAS IN NEW YORK CITY for his book tour and Josh Horowitz event. So, this PROVES Steph WAS IN NYC WITH SAM, just like I said TWO sources told me. 👇 SamCait shippers, do you EVER get tired of being wrong? 🤔 It's been 11 YEARS of me posting accurate info. But suit yourselves. 🤷‍♀️

Can you imagine the HUGE SMILE on my face when the source sent me this pic?! I just about fell off my chair! The three of them are so dang cute together. And the fact that Sam has completely let this little girl into his life is so heartwarming. TBH, I never thought I'd see the day. But here it is. And Sam and Steph make SUCH a gorgeous couple. I can't even. And all THREE of them are smiling, none more than Sam. There's nothing the haters can say about this pic, Sam is SMILING, with teeth, and it's the most adorable smile ever. He looks like a happy kid at Christmas!

I want to leave NO ROOM FOR DOUBT that these pics were taken in Glasgow, Scotland. So, besides the one person who said she saw the 3 of them on Buchanan Street in Glasgow right before Christmas, I also told you guys that my Los Angeles industry Sam source had CONFIRMED that she knew Steph and her daughter were spending Christmas with Sam in Glasgow. And we already knew from Sam himself that he was going to spend Christmas and New Year's in Scotland since he said so in an interview. He even talked about hosting at his house and what he was going to serve.

But here is CONCRETE PROOF that the pic above of the 3 of them was taken in Glasgow. Here is Steph's daughter in front of Citizens Theatre, which is in Glasgow 👇(for the naysayers, I am making sure not to post her face or her name, so shush). And you can verifty that this Citizens Theater IS in Glasgow because the plays that were being performed were The Gift and Beauty and the Beast and you can see the posters for both behind Steph's daughter.

It is SO sweet that Sam is sharing his love of theater with the little girl. Core memories she will cherish forever.

Then we have a pic at Sam's house, showing the Christmas Tree and some holiday shenanigans courtesy of Sam. Love it! 👇 For the naysayers, Sam's house is a historic property and he announced when he bought it, and we all saw pretty much every room in his house because it was all made public online, so shush.

Soooo, on Christmas Eve, Sam, Steph and her daughter had fun at his house and went to see a play. They look like a happy little family and I'm so excited for Sam--finally!

Here is a pic of Christmas morning after Santa Claus has delivered all the presents and had milk and cookies left out for him. 👇 You guys, imagine Sam playing Santa and putting presents out with Steph for her daughter! And making sure there were milk and cookies! You know HE ate the cookies and drank the milk and enjoyed every minute of it. 😋 Notice Steph's signature heart emoji. Also, I find it interesting that the presents are all wrapped very simply. No loud wrapping paper or tons of ribbons and bows. Just a rustic and cozy Christmas at home. ❤️

And we JUST saw in my previous post that Sam's brother's wife, Stephanie, also recently mutually followed with Steph on Instagram. Another sign that they met during Christmas. For the naysayers, there's NO reason for Sam's sister-in-law to follow Steph if she wasn't his girlfriend.

I'm posting this pic because: 1. The haters were cruelly saying Steph is a bad mother because she leaves her daughter to go spend time with Sam. Well, this pic shows that she does what every single mom who has a boyfriend does--she balances time with her boyfriend and time with her child. NORMAL. Yes, Steph spent a few days with Sam in NYC mid-December, but she immediately returned to Ireland to be with her daughter. And as of December 17, she was helping her daughter with her make-up for her school's holiday performance. Such a sweet pic and shows what a doting mother Steph is. 2. By sheer providence, this pic ALSO shows Steph's Line Tattoo AND Celtic Spiral Tattoo! Whoomp, there it is! And her face is attached to her arm this time, hahaha.

The Final Season of Outlander Brings TV’s Hottest Time-Traveling Romance to a Fiery End

Caitríona Balfe and showrunner Matthew B. Roberts unveil an exclusive look at the emotional last chapter and talk landing the plane—not rocking the boat: “People have come to this show for a decade, let’s just give them something that they have come to expect.”

Perhaps the only thing harder than living happily ever after in reality is scripting it for the screen—after eight seasons of Outlander, the time-traveling, bodice-ripping romantic fantasy series will come to an end next spring. “It kept me up at night,” executive producer Matthew B. Roberts tells Vanity Fair. Riding off into the sunset has always been a tricky proposition for beloved TV characters like Caitríona Balfe’s Claire Beauchamp and Sam Heughan’s Jamie Fraser, whose love story electrified fans from its 2014 debut and became one of the most successful shows ever on Starz.

But Roberts, who assumed showrunning duties from fellow EP Ronald D. Moore at the conclusion of season two, stuck firmly to the show’s DNA for its final installment. “I said to everybody, let’s try not to do that Very Special Outlander season. It’s already special,” he says. “People have come to this show for a decade, let’s just do what we do, do it well, and give them something that they have come to expect.”

Answers to some of the show’s long-held mysteries—from the fate of Claire’s daughter Faith to the true explanation for Jamie’s time-travel capabilities—are among what’s anticipated when the eighth and final season premieres on March 6, 2026. “You won’t have to wait long for a lot of them. We hit you with a pretty big wave of information right off the bat,” says Roberts, “and then that wave will hopefully carry you all the way to the end. There’s a lot of tension and turmoil, but there is a lot of resolution.” Not that he’s in the business of spoiling what that may entail. “I always had the ending in my head,” he adds, but “we also filmed a few [other] endings for security reasons.”

Balfe’s last day on set, a sprawling seven-page scene that Heughan performed in front of their longtime crew, “was so hard, but also one of the most beautiful moments in my time on Outlander,” she tells VF. “That it was Sam and I, sharing a loving Claire and Jamie moment where they reflected on their lives together, was so fitting, and I was so grateful to be there with Sam, my steadfast partner throughout this whole series.”

When she booked the breakthrough role of Claire, a former World War II nurse in Scotland who is transported back to the mid-18th century, where she collides with a group of rebel Highlanders, including her true love Jamie, Balfe was considering quitting acting altogether. “I will never underestimate the growth that I experienced. I had never done any TV, and had only had a few small parts in film, so Outlander was such a huge leap,” she says. “But I am so fortunate that the people I worked with most closely in the beginning were such seasoned, amazing actors and set this incredible example for me. To always strive for truth, to ground everything, even if the circumstances are fantastical. It really helped me solidify the type of actor I wanted to be.”

Along the way, Balfe learned the kind of lessons that only come with devoting a quarter of one’s life to a single project—particularly after becoming a mother in 2021. “Personally, I do think having a child changed my relationship to work, in that I would never again just be ‘Caitríona—a single entity following my passion,’” says Balfe. “I now had someone who came before that. Someone who was so much more important in every way, and though that might make it seem that the work suffers, I think it can be the opposite, your focus is stronger and your instincts, I think, sharpen.”

Balfe has carved out time for film roles: in Jodie Foster’s Money Monster between seasons one and two, opposite Christian Bale in the Oscar-nominated Ford v Ferrari between seasons four and five, and earned a Golden Globe nomination for Belfast before filming seasons seven and eight. But Balfe has been vocal about wanting to spread her wings further. “The beauty of this show is that it’s opened a lot of doors. The tough part about it is that we don’t have any time to really take advantage of it,” she told VF in 2022.

With all that tartan in her rearview mirror, “What I am most looking forward to in the future is variety,” Balfe says now, “to follow my creative curiosity, wherever that may lead me.” After starring alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones in an upcoming adaptation of Sense and Sensibility, Balfe hopes to do stage work and direct, an opportunity she previously lobbied for in the pages of VF to no avail.

“It was both very joyous that we’d come such a long way, but it felt almost like a wake,” Roberts says of filming on the series finale. “We were celebrating the life of Outlander, but also mourning it. There were a lot of tears. If you could imagine a kaleidoscope of emotions, and every time you turn that knob, something else came up because you were saying goodbye to somebody different. You knew you’d see him again, but not in costume, not making the show anymore.”

But Starz isn’t giving up the Outlander ghost just yet. Outlander: Blood of My Blood, a prequel about Claire and Jamie’s parents, premiered earlier this year. “Blood of My Blood helped us deal with the end of Outlander,” Roberts says on break from working on the second season in Scotland. “If we didn’t have it, I think the final season would’ve been much more difficult for us because then it would’ve literally been the end of a journey that, for me, is going on 14 years of my life. I’ve seen marriages and kids born. It’s crazy how much we’ve grown as a family together.”

Even with succession plans for this hit TV universe firmly in place, one can’t help but wonder if Outlander will take a page out of the Downton Abbey playbook by launching a series of theatrically released films. “It’s certainly been talked about, but it’s all about where people are in their lives,” says Roberts, an air of possibility evident in his voice. “I’ve heard not only the producers, but the cast, say ‘never, say never.’”
