SHADOWHOUSE

With the self-ascribed motto "Play loud, Dance slow," Portland-based Shadowhouse sits at the intersection of post punk and goth. Singer/guitarist Shane and Ashley on synths grew up in the punk clubs of SE Portland and formed the band in early 2012, along with Josh on drums and Justen on bass.

We will be playing with 80′s dark-wave legends ELEVEN POND in Portland on Thursday July 16th! (at LOVECRAFT BAR!)

▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲ Eleven Pond (Dark Entries Records, NYC) formed in 1986, releasing one postpunk/synth pop/darkwave LP 'Bas Relief' + recording songs for their second LP, 'Assemblage'. When the band broke up in 1987, the masters were shelved. A reissue on Dark Entries turned 'Bas Relief' into a $900 collectable record and cult classic. In 2009, Eleven Pond was rediscovered in the underground and DJs introduced a new generation to the band. In 2010, Jeff Gallea reformed the band. Eleven Pond is finally coming to Portland in July 2015!

This March Resurrection Records will be releasing a 4-way split 7" featuring us, Cat Party, Terminal A, and Etilo Mañtalini! We are very excited for our previously unreleased version of 'Stay Away' (from our Haunted 7" sessions) is getting released alongside songs by some of our favorite West Coast bands happening right now!
