present :

16 OCT 2025 — jinu continues to open rifts and lead his bandmates into the war with huntrix. he's determined to do the work he was asked so that the voices and memories in his head go away for good. all he can do now is find weaknesses in elias.

NOV 2025 — jinu started to figure out the politics of elias better. he spent a lot of time going between new elias, old elias, and the underland exploring. soda pop become a bigger hit in elias and the saja boys capitalize on the popularity.

DEC 2025 — get krampus'd bitch

JAN 2026 — jinu mostly stayed inside claiming to fans he was "working on a new single" but it was the first fall out from what happened with krampus. he didn't feel safe or comfortable. and while yes, they did work begin to work on a new single, jinu's mood and attitude was not conductive to getting much done.

FEB 2026 — jinu is now starting to get more comfortable with going out in public, but he continues to have a short temper and is still quite jumpy around people.

MARCH 2026 — back to business, starting to feel normal.

APRIL 2026 — jinu is beginning to plan a concert and some new music to debut.

MAY 2026 — the new song is almost ready to debut, but jinu is trying to bring back some normalcy in his life by actually going out and talking to people. although he made more enemies than he did friends.

what happened to jinu before he went to the demon world doesn't matter. it comes back to him in flashes, the voices that won't stop. the memories of the mistakes he made. it'll never fade. for so long it's tortured him into the person he'd become as a demon.

working for hades isn't ideal because jinu could care less about what hades wants from him. he's working for hades because he's been promised the memories can go away if he defeats huntrix and gets rid the honmoon. jinu doesn't care about elias at all. the city is only his playing ground, his battle ground.

he spends most of his time making sure that the saja boys are doing what they're supposed to do—after all he is their leader. the responsibilities he's been given are very important to him because it'll all get him to his goal. hades needs him to be a perfect soldier, so he is and his bandmates are right in line behind him.

being an idol is interesting to him, but sometimes it is less than ideal. for the most part, he uses it to get to places he probably shouldn't have access to. but when he's trying to be sneaking, being recognized is the bane of his existence. jinu does his best to hide the work he's doing with hades.

right now, jinu is beginning to gather intel on huntrix. he's seen them in concert once—he didn't make it further than the first song with the memories it made him remember. he's working on ways to get close to them and weaken them.

future :

jinu doesn't really have any proof that when the honmoon is gone, so will his memories—that's just something he's been told will happen. it'll be a while before he starts to question how hades know what he knows, but it'll eventually happen at some point. he's never wanted to be a villain, he just wants the memories gone.

jinu saja apartment tour

the penthouse apartment that jinu and the saja boys live in is pretty devoid of personality, other than the amount of records in it. it's in a high rise part of new elias, but really the place is just for show. there's enough bedrooms for all of them and a generous place to host. he spends most of his time in the in home recording studio working on a new song. jinu has the biggest bedroom, in a loft at the very top of the penthouse. he doesn’t actually get a lot of sleep though, preferring to spend his nights unleashing demons and fighting battles—they’ve also got a hidden room with weapons. although the apartment seems empty, to some degree that’s how jinu likes it. it’s orderly and clean and perfect. it may be devoid of what some people call “personality” but they also don’t spend too much time there. it’s one of those super high tech places where everything is on a timer and everything looks expensive. it’s a fantastic place for hosting dinner parties and people because of how much space there is in it. however, people probably feel somewhat uncomfortable in the home due to that. it isn’t a “homey” home at all. he’s peeked in everyone else’s room and their have more personality than his room. his own space is neat and tidy, though he has a lot of musical instruments in his own room and can occasionally be heard playing music early in the morning. jinu also has a cubby with his entire week’s worth of outfits planned. on his desk he has a calendar, handwritten, with his days planned out, even those days he’s got no actual plans—for whatever he likes writing things down. the only other show of personality that can be seen are his journals that he’s been writing his days in because jinu feels like if he writes his days down then he’ll remember them more easily.

one thing dash understood well was party etiquette. any social function, bar, or party was going to hold mixed company and this guy could be sitting in the beer tent without a beer for any number of reasons. "hello," he replied simply, smiling, purposefully ignoring any indication that this wasn't a perfectly normal exchange and that he didn't just speed run through the tent. "you say 'just' like that's not a solid fuckin' order, my guy. one club soda with a lime wedge coming right up."

he stood up on the footrest of his stool and waved to the bartender to get his attention across the bar. he held up his beer, pointed to the guy next to him, and held up two fingers - this, to dash, indicated another round. when the bartender seemed to understand what he was asking for, he stuck up a thumb and sat back down. "we're cool," he confirmed.

"i'm dash, by the way. thanks for letting my hijack your spot. i know i didn't give you a choice or anything, but you're being a really good sport about it."

"well hardly anyone goes to a bar and orders fancy water," he laughed. it wasn't that he didn't like drinking, but he preferred his senses sharpened, preferred to be the person in the room that could easily make a split second decision if necessary. but jinu knew that he was probably one of the only people that thought like that. maybe one of these days he did need to take some time to relax; he could hardly relax when he was in the middle of a war with huntrix. he didn't exactly talk about that very often. "but thank you... for the drink." even though club soda with lime was free.

sometimes he wasn't used to interacting with people. it felt like it had been a long time since he'd been around people the way he had been for the last half a year in elias. he liked talking to fans, but he also enjoyed a random conversation with someone who didn't know who he was. jinu felt like it he put on his "regular guy" hat people talked to him more. and honestly, he kind of liked "regular guy jinu" more than he liked "demon jinu" and yet he wasn't making an effort to make that change.

"dash certainly fits you," he laughed. "i'm jinu. and as for being a good sport, i'm not exactly itching to cause a scene here." no, he'd wait to cause a scene some other time. "have you ever actually been to gaston's before? not just the little pop-up?"

hopper barked out a laugh at that, low and rough around the edges, though there wasn’t much humor behind it. he leaned back in his chair like jinu hadn’t said anything worth getting worked up over, one boot dragging lazily across the floor. “there he is,” he muttered. “was wonderin’ when the superiority complex was gonna crawl back out.”

his gaze stayed fixed on jinu, steady and unreadable. hopper had known too many men like him over the years... the ones who wrapped themselves up in usefulness because it made them feel untouchable. indispensable. until one day they learned the hard way that usefulness only lasted as long as somebody had use for you.

“special skill set,” he repeated mockingly, rolling the phrase around like it tasted bad.

“and trust me, sweetheart, i sleep just fine at night.” the grin that followed was all teeth. “probably better than a guy spendin’ this much time tryin’ to convince himself he’s the one with the upper hand right now.”

jinu stopped caring what people thought about him a long time ago. those feelings about caring what people thought had faded along with what little human emotions he still felt. he knew he was nothing more than a foot soldier right now and that he wasn't anything other than someone who was doing exactly what he was told. he wanted to make himself indispensable because that meant he was closer to getting what he wanted. "i think you're mistaking me for someone else." the idol liked to think that he had a general idea of what was going on, even if he didn't care about their petty squabbles and goals. he was doing what he was doing to get his life back and nothing else.

he didn't see anyone else here doing something about huntrix or who knew the history of their special skills more than he did. of course he wanted to know more, he'd learn it eventually—at least he hoped. jinu was older than most people thought, he had more knowledge. he'd watched empires fall, break, crumble and be put back together again, stronger in places, weaker in others.

"you don't know anything about me." which was true, but no one knew anything about him because he tried to make himself unknowable. jinu liked to be a level of unpredictable.

"whatever, people like you get complacent up there, thinking you're on top when really you're also only a pawn." there was no upper hand her, that was the point. jinu knew that he wasn't better because he was a foot soldier, but he was aware that anyone could be replaced.

violet started picking off pieces of a cruffin, eating as she walked out of the shop with him. "never is a strong word," she couldn't help but say. violet had her fair share of doom and gloom (just that morning she'd lamented that she'd never find another job) but it was always easier to try and encourage someone else rather than herself. "oh, jeez, it's not nuclear, it's just a croissant-muffin. a cruffin. see?" she held up the one she was picking bite-sized pieces from.

as he introduced himself (re-introduced?), violet stared at him. she tried to place his face somewhere with bright lights — album covers? but as soon as he mentioned 'soda pop', her eyes widened. "oh my god. stop, you were everywhere. are everywhere ♫ da-na-na-na, my little soda —" violet halted, red-faced. "sorry! of course you know it," she rolled her eyes at herself.

this was different. superhero-famous was different to musician-famous. musicians had people screaming and crying at their feet, while superheroes often had screaming and shouting for different reasons (at least, in metroville).

now the weird autograph moment made sense. that was a hell of a viral song. and she vaguely remembered everyone crying about how hot the singers were.

"but hey, enough people do if you're still getting mobbed in elias." violet looked around as well, suddenly feeling like she owed it to him to help him find privacy. "i'm violet parr. nice to officially meet you, jinu. you're okay — i'd say i'm not usually this, uh, stubborn but apparently i am." she gave an apologetic smile. "you know, if we head down that way…" she pointed down a thin street, "it cuts through some residential streets and gets you to new elias. if that's where you're headed."

"not in my case." but he didn't elaborate. jinu knew that he didn't have to complain about his life because he had a lot more than other people did. he was in a good position. however, he knew that he could be replaced at any moment. he didn't want to be on the other end of failing what he was supposed to be doing. jinu's soul wasn't his own and all he wanted to do was get rid of the memories that were a problem for him. "oh, i've never had one of those before. maybe i'll get one next time. i don't want to steal your food." he'd rather steal souls.

he cringed as she sung the song, not because it was bad, but there was a reason that he went around alone and didn't like to be recognized by people. there were so many fans of his in this place and he often got crowded by them if they recognized him. "not too loud," he looked around for a second, frantic that someone would recognize him. thankfully, it didn't seem like anyone was really paying attention to them.

"i don't exactly like being mobbed by people. there were people in his group that liked the attention, but jinu liked the shadows more. "violet. that's a pretty name. nice to officially meet you." he kind of liked how much she was rambling. "that's okay, being stubborn is a great quality. it gets you places and means no one can walk all over you." he could learn some of that, while he was stubborn in some regards, he felt so easily influenced by his own wants. "i'm not actually headed anywhere, but i wouldn't mind continuing this conversation if you're interested." he tilted his head to the side, a smile on his face.

"If I'm allowed to wish that Soda Pop would go platinum, then sure. If not, I don't know what I'd wish for."

"I'm really good at a lot of things, but I'm not very good at sitting still. Also I would really like to be smarter when it comes to people. I like to think that I'm aware of everything going on, but really I know absolutely nothing half the time."

Jinu doesn't have a ton of memories of himself that he's truly proud of anymore. He might not be able to change the past and doesn't wish to change anything, but he does remember the look on his mother's face the first time he played a bipa. Now he wasn't very good, but there's a memory that he can still recall perfectly of his mother being proud at the first song he learned.

What is the most memorable gift you’ve received from a fan and on the flip side what has been the most cringeworthy gift you've received from an fan?

"I once got an oil painting of me from a fan. I really like that. It's hanging up in my room. I think they captured my likeness really well and I look at peace in it, like I feel when I'm performing. That's the best gift I've gotten. I think the most cringe-worthy gift was probably this photo someone photoshopped with me and that fan getting married. Honestly, that happens more often than you'd think. Everyone was in this one though, Baby was the flower, er, boy. I don't know it was just really creepy. I have no idea where they found these photos of us either."

Who do you trust least?

"Now that's easy. Myself. How can I trust that what myself when I can't even trust my own mind most of the time? I don't know what memories are real and what are fake."

What are you afraid to hope for?

"I'm afraid to hope at all. It's kind of a silly thing if you think about it. The bad thing always happens in the end, doesn't it? Hope's for people with a clear future. I haven't had hope in a long time and I don't think that's suddenly going to change."

“No. That seems exhausting. I’ve learned to live with my mistakes and I wouldn’t be here now if I hadn’t made the mistakes I've made. So no, I wouldn't go back and change anything. I deserve everything I've gotten.”

Semra watched the man carefully, her brown eyes intense. It wasn't exactly a death glare, but the look she was giving him wasn't entirely welcoming either. Her annoyance was never something she tried to hide. Semra would let you know if you were wasting her time, which was very valuable, thank you. The Underland wasn't a place where friendships were formed. It was a social ladder. Rubbed shoulders with the right people, and you could be living well. Semra already had an in with Drakken working for Hades; she intended on getting higher than his good graces.

Manipulating people was something she could respect. The bartender was clearly falling over herself to get this guy's attention. Pathetic, but expected when he hinted at being a celebrity of some sort. Truthfully, she didn't know him, nor did she care to. "Are you joking?" Semra laughed; it was biting and dripping venom. "Oh, no, you are serious. How cute." She tutted. "You think I'm scared of a few fans? Grudges are nothing new to me, and if we're being honest here, they should be afraid of the grudges I hold." Her eyes flashed a bright neon green. A warning, loud and clear like a rattlesnake's rattle that could be heard for miles.

"Look, I don't care who the fuck you are or what pedestal you've been placed on. I'm not afraid to get cancelled or whatever the hell people do nowadays when you're not nice to their false idols. You're just some random guy to me." Semra took the drink that had been given to him from the bartender and took a sip of it, her eyes never breaking from his. "And you were in my way."

the lack of uncaring that he faced these days was honestly kind of shocking even to himself. jinu didn't have anything to lose unless hades cut him loose without upholding his end of the bargain, but he wasn't sure that would be the case. he was after all, doing something that no one else in hades little roster could do, aside from one of his other idols and yet he was the best leader of the pack of them. still he knew better than to continue to annoy someone.

"i never joke," he shrugged. the idol didn't really care either way. he never went out to get noticed by people in public. in fact, he did his best to not poke the beast. he blinked at the woman. he sighed. "okay, well... i don't control them. i'm just warning you." he rolled his eyes, irritated at the conversation already. honestly, he didn't care if she did hold grudges against some of his fans. if they were wild enough to piss her off, that was not on him.

"whatever. although word of warning, you better be careful who you piss off. some of us have bigger connections. if you think my fans are the biggest worry, they're not." jinu didn't think he'd ever get hades involved in something so petty, but he was not above threatening it. "i'm always in the way."

“I had a feelin’ you could use some comfort food today, so I made your favorite.” Tiana slid the pan between them with a small smile. “And yes, before you fuss about it, I swapped the walnuts out. Used smoky praline pecans this time.”

“Little fresh thyme on top, too,” she said proudly. “It’ll taste real good with the peas, gravy, and roast from yesterday.”

"me? am i really giving off that kind of energy?" he thought he was really decent at hiding how he was feeling, but apparently he was worse at it than he thought. or maybe she was the type of person that could easily tell people weren't in a good mood. "i still don't understand what praline means, but that does sound pretty good."

jinu sighed and turned his attention to the meal. "this sounds amazing. thank you." he wasn't used to people treating him with any sort of kindness.

The moment Leo heard that voice, an immediate eye roll followed. If his eyes could roll into the back of his head, he was sure they would be falling out of his eye sockets and rolling on the floor. The universe had a sense of humor. He knew that all too well. What he didn't expect was to run into this guy again. In fact, Leo would have gone out of his way to never interact with him again. Yet here he was ... talking to him. It's like he wanted to ruin the slider's mood.

"I don't need a third eye to tell me I'm looking at an annoying man." The slider didn't even try to hold back his bite. If the guy was going to make stupid comments, he was going to get 'come correct' answers. "Do you not have anyone else to pester? Please, I'm trying to decide if I want a cute tattoo and if you're not going to get one with me, then you better get to steppin' buddy."

he had to admit that he'd only approached the other because of their last conversation. if you could even call it a conversation. jinu didn't care really either way. he was going to do his best to ignore whatever the other said. honestly, he probably wasn't even going to avoid a fight. he really just wanted to annoy the other man for fun.

"aw. that's sweet. i'm glad you think about me." it wasn't what the other said at all, but jinu didn't care about anything. these days he didn't even care about himself. "oh, i have plenty of people to pester, but you're more fun to pester than anyone else." jinu grinned. cheeky if nothing else. "oh, please, we should totally get matching tattoos."
